It's ironic that he's saying domination is not healthy when talking about apple's drm by limiting other companies but it's ok to limit customers to what they can and can't do with what they purchased.
While I agree this law is quite stupid, a person who tortures animals is usually let off with a slap on the wrist and not given any jail time at all. The government has it's priorities a little mixed up.
It doesn't directly state it will be $249, there's not even a quote. Iwata stated in the conferance the price will be announced closer to launch, probably in the summer time.
Sony never released their final numbers. Sony said units shipped, those are never units purchased. Sony has a habit of doing this, as for final numbers, Nintendo mentioned how many units were purchased of the ds which came to 16 million, being many millions more ahead of the psp through an independant sales analyst firm.
The DS has tons of unique style games that are out and coming out. If you're looking for something revolutionary you'll want to look at the DS or Revolution.;) There have been a number of excellent unique titles for the ps2 as well.
But hey, if you want a system where all the games are just rehash's of each other and you can pick them up on pc anyway then pick up a 360.;\
1. Wrong format for the games. Behind the times. Forget about cartridges - get the games via digital distribution ala itunes or any downloadable game site
Digital Distribution sucks for video games. Just look at steam. I personally would rather have something I can hold and not worry about having to lose anything.
Plus the packaging that comes with games is pretty nice, a little dvd case for ps2/gc/xbox games and an instruction book with other goodies usually is great.
why not operating systems while we're at it? I can record audio from any medium and copy it to my pc and distribute it to my friends. (Legally in canada under fair use laws)
This is an absurd law.

To answer your subject heading, yes.
Consider it done.
The problem will arise when the only choice left is the service model. It's not good for the customers.

Same, it's a shame because I've grown to like ebay. Ah well, nature of the beast. ;)

wish I had some mod points to give you some karma since most people don't know that and his games require dual sticks to be any sorta fun ;p
The reason katamari does well is BECAUSE of the dual analogs on the controller. Controllers have a huge impact on games. Takahashi is far from right.
Two words: Metroid Prime.
You apparently don't realize how successful the ds is and how much people are craving innovation at the moment.
It really depends on what kind of specialist you need and where you live.

He's been on G4TechTv for the last year already in Canada.

Europe makes using the internet illegal for fear of piracy.
Actually it was not releasing products on time and purchasing STB that killed 3dfx. ;)
