I think that people seem to confuse great politicians with hero's or great men. Bush didn't have to prove himself to be a man before he came to power. Your not a great man when you order others to fight your wars and happen to rile up a crowd of people to violence.
I'm sorry but in this regard Bush and Osama Bin Laden are similar and very dangerous to the rest of society.
A very similar story happend to me and I got a refurbished drive that just doesn't seem to be operating as smoothly as the previous one (when it was still functioning).
I'm a cisco network admin student and a webhost. I deal with and type ip addresses all the time. For troubleshooting or just configuring i read, compare, and type ips atleast a 50 times in a slow day.
There is no way us humans will be able to manage address that freaking long. Unless the number system has improved i don't see it as a possiblility. I think we need no more then 8 octets for a long time. We may go ip crazy and it wouldn't take too much imagination (at least not ip v6 running out of space imagination with 4th dimension theories)to run out of current ips*65k.
Part of our current problem is distribution and we need lots of ips to make everything work smoothly. I think 8 octets would be more then sufficient for a while (4 billion squared?). We don't need more ips then known particles in this galaxy as ip v6 provides.
I live in the midwest too, i'm not rich or an elitest but FOX news definately doesn't have a liberal slant.
BUT it has a huge conservative slant (crazy conservative) compared to any liberal slant other news stations have. I am surrounded by moderate republicans (Dublin, OH) and few liberals. All of us are usually disgusted by Fox News.
Fox news tells it like it is... from a extremely angry conservatics perspective.
Last time I checked O'Reily is still going after the Clinton family and Bush is god (the latter no so much from O'Reily but his coworkers). The liberals criticize Bush enough I guess.
The newest ati's and nvidia's seem to have 256 MB of video ram which is 4x that of the ps2's complete ram. The speed of this ram is close to 10x faster then pc 2700 (currently the mainstream ddr333) as Nvidia indicates their ram moves 27 gig's of data per second.
Also the new intel sprindale or whatever chipsets support 800 mhz fsb and dual channel ddr400. Compared to the ddr 266's availble then this is almost a 3x increase in overal system memory bandwidth... coupled with agp 8x we have at least 3x to 4x more memory band compared to the geforce3 era.
And I will never be the same again... My life would be ten times better if I hadn't. I've managed to not click on it several times but it was too long.
Just buy the right low heat core athlon 1700+ not overclocked. Make sure you buy a nice fat heatsink and place a large but quiet fan on it. I have two athlon machies, one is very noisy and the other's fan is almost unhearable with the case open.
..., he did mention that it was osmosis. Unfortunately that word is used wrong wayyy too many times. Osmosis is diffusion of water in an environment. Osmosis is not interchangeble with diffusion unless your talking about water.
Probably one of the most incorrectly used science term used by our society.
Same here, i use a regular pc some times and the text is almost unreadable. The first thing i do is lower the res to 800x600 (which is closer to a tv res) which helps slightly (but still too fuzzy) but the important thing is that movies are as sharp as they'll ever get.
-network thingy for the Ps2 $40 bucks at thinkgeek -this video software $50 at think geek. -shipping for both should approach or maybe even exceed $10 bucks
So it's approaching $100 bucks just to stream files off your pc to the playstation which would display them.
If you want or need wifi and don't have the hardware it's easily over an additional $100 for the access points and network interfaces that would connect to each end.
This could be awesome for people who already have some or all the hardware you need to set this up. This new product is only a set of software.
Although you need better cooling then you did before (almost all processors require better cooling anyway) you don't need super cooling to get awesome overclocks nowadays. Infact you can manage with air cooling that doesn't kill your ears.
Your celeron overclocked well because the 300a model was basically a higher end core then the p2's at that mhz with part of the cache disabled.
The sweet spot for that celeron like modern processors is when manufacturers give a lower label to higher end cores.
Here are some current sweetspots: Athlon XP 2100- the new tbred core in these easily clocks to 400 mhz better then the original palomino cores. With some good cooling you can overclock to 2.4 ghz which is the equivalent of a athlon 3000+. With new nf2 motherboards you can also overclock your fsb signifincantly
Athlon XP 1700- These are the best values, they clock just under the 2100's but a 2.1 ghz processor for $50 bucks is just way to tempting. The 2.1 ghz is like a 2600+.
Intel Sub 2 ghz a models like the 1.8a- These are the northwood cores sold under 2 ghz. These babies have the capability to go over 50% higher. I've seen some get to 3 ghz with stock cooling.
Note that these are just typical overclocking results, some will fare better and some may get a lemon of a processor that just doesn't do well. In most cases you will be fine though.
Companies are evil little marketing empires and thats where the conspiracy lies, right? Although this sentiment is popular at slashdot it's not always true.
Bits has been the universal bandwidth measurement for quite some time. Infact all bandwidth lines are measured in bits and always has been. I'm sure that marketing people love this but it was something originally started by the engineers and not the marketing folks.
The first few episodes introduced vash, the kind of man he is, the world he lives in, and a lot more. You can't just jump in to the next 14 because you miss out on some basic info related to the series. Besides they were entertaining... my favorite eps are the first few.
"Bandwidth? No, a 1080i signal requires more bandwidth than a 720p signal. A 1080i signal includes one 1920x1080 frame (or two 1920x540 fields) thirty times per second. That's 62,208,000 pixels per second. A 720p signal includes one 1280x720 frame sixty times per second. That's 55,296,000 pixels per second."
I thought the whole point of interlaced is that it updates half the lines at one time. So why would the signal send more data then the TV needs?
IF thats true then there really are few benefits with this interlaced technology except the tv/monitor making cheapness. Also i believe that monitors can display over 1600X1200 PROGRESSIVE (all monitors are progressive as interlaced just sucks for computers and most things) so why can't they at least make 27 inch models that are somewhat affordable?

That was a typo that I noticed after submitting the story... And i liked it:) Maybe it's my subconcious mind or just a simple finger slippage.

ATI has played it smart this round. The minimum precision for DX9 is 24 bits and ATI does it.
Yes, nuclear reactors might work out... for some really large ships :)
Panels provide shit electricity and even all forseable advancements in the future seem to way below that required for spaceflight.

Sounds like the old trailer? You seemed to have missed that this takes place around judgement day. Or it at least has lots of scenes from it.
You do realize the chance of having the earth orbit the sun at exactly 365.0000 days is highly unlikely.a That's to perfect a number...

Isn't that why mac's were created in the first place? (Ducks for cover)
Sorry guys a part of me just had to say that.
I've never been so ashamed of having a parent like you. I'll never forgive you for the rest of my life.
*Sits in a corner and tries to hide from the shame.

Eh, wrong thread... this belongs on the next top parent thread. Right below the parent of this post's parent.

Thats what i originally thought but the opteron is the multiprocessor that does more then dual.
:)
The clawhammer (athlon 64) will do dual processors. Thats right, dual processing for the mainstream processor!
If athlon 64 processors go like xp's have been going (around $50-$60 bucks for the 1700) near the lower end then we might have very cheap duallies
