the naming schemes are a little hard to remember.... the tough thing is that most people don't want to take the time to remember how to use an OS when windows is so simple. I bet if some experienced windows users were giving a box of *nix with easy to remember things, they could learn it. I'm not saying I use it, but ive run into this problem w/ many people... "I use Internet Explorer"..... "Oh man, don't use that, use Firefox. What do you think most people end up doing?
We should never cease to be paranoid about our privacy. If you are a US citizen you have a right to be secure in your quarters, gaurenteed by the consitution. And until they ratify that (like anyone will vote for that) then we are entitled to that right.
Who would have thought this would have actually worked? The "off their rocker extremists" thats who - and they happen to be the base of the US's government. Don't get me wrong now - i'm not saying there aren't wackos on both sides, its bad when either one starts getting their way.
secondly, its a movie - NOT A FILM. The cartoon series had qualities of films. This is made by MTV movies, so thats what you get. Now if it were only MTV2 movies.... =p
The real story is that the climate is warming.... Who cares if the magnetic poles shift - it has happened many times. I heard on NPR that the oceanic conveyer belt had started to slow and if this is the case, then add this, and you have pretty irrefutable evidence something big is about to happen. We have pretty much fucked ourselves in the worse case senario.... Makes me think that moving to the equator a little bit early wouldn't be such a bad idea - I mean, of all longitudinal lines, it has the most real estate, so prices should be cheap right?:)
if you look at the globe, it would be a warm spot in the middle of the atlantic... I'm not sure what this would do, but since it would be continually pushed, it would mostlikely split off at a fork... making Mauritania and Algeria even warmer and probably creating a SUBER UBER JUNGLE (forgive me) and probably warming up the caribbean as well as lots of hurricanes.... we'll probably have to start using chinese symbols or something after we run out of our symbols
whats worse to be convicted of? A scandal involving theft of source code, or a scandal involving the theft of a presidency? Which would hurt your company more is what you need to be asking yourself - becuase after looking through all these threads, the shady people that own diebold could probably care less about stealing source code.
so deal with the fact your stories are getting rejected and his aren't. I'm really sick of people beating down on someone becuase they find news the moderators will post. Its nothing but offtopic drivel, and whoever made the parent insightful should be stripped of any rights to hand out points.

I mean, we all run the same type of hard drives that can barely get over 10 megs of transfer speed a second (if you have a raptor or perhaps a raid array), so why are all these people trying to break the latest record? Where is that going to get us besides making these lines of transmit our backbones for the internet? And my second question is, how did they do this.... did they store the movie in a ramdrive of some sort and transfer it to a ramdrive, becuase its obvious its not possible with CONVENTIONAL rotary drives.
If I were a person in a low lieing area, or island perhaps, I would be one of the first people to buy some real estate in arctic.... then I would slap the government for not signing on the kyoto of course. =p
if you were skeptical, you could say bram cohen designed this for the RIAA to look at and say "Shit... we better do something, lets buy him out" - it would be a quick way to make some cash.

how often do you hear that awful 3 beep'er? Lets say some PFY has decided to flash their 9800pro to an 9800XT but forked it up... I hate to be scandelous, but pop a PCI vid card in there, reflash it, and take that puppy to ebay and make another hundred bucks.
Also, I *heard* through the grapevine that a supposed Geek Rescue cd is avaliable on some torrent sites. And i've also *heard* that what is on there is quite useful in many ways. I'm sure you already have a disk similar to this, but what i've *HEARD* about this cd is that it is pretty handy.;P
