There's also the option of renting. It's a neat thing where you pay a significantly lower amount than the purchase price of an item, and in exchange you get to use it for a while and then give it back.
the lj1320 is a decent model. unless you want to manual feed anything a few things that happen with it:
1) the paper level indicator in the tray gets stuck ontop of the lifting plate, causes the printer to not detect the paper when the tray is less than half full. 2) as mentioned, the manual feed is a bitch to get working.
that said, we have one in our cube here, and we fed all manner of paper through it without a jam...it printed on a paper airplane and the back of a duotang(although it didnt fuse properly on the duotang)
true enough.
but if it's a question of lack of funds now rather than some money back later, then the lack of funds wins out.
like i said, i dont think it's a good idea, but if you only need the book for 4 months, and you dont have alot of cash, then it's not bad.
buy the book after the first day of class...that way you have the book until after your exams.
obviously you wouldnt buy it for a full year course, but for a normal 3-4 credit course, 5 months is plenty. not really defending it, i kind of like to keep my text books, but i can see it for something like english or something.
My question is why people would bother with VoIP if they have ADSL...they have a phone line running into their house, that they're paying for...i've got a Vonage phone because i dont want to deal with Telus(Phone Company in Western Canada) so i've got cable net and my phone
i wouldnt let my kids go buy porn...mainly because there's all the free porn they could need on the internet. keep in mind i'm speaking as a non-parent, but i dont see the harm in taking pleasure from seeing a few naked people. if it ends up being all they do at all hours of the day, then there's a problem, but that applies to people of all ages, and to all activities.
my childhood was fairly uncensored, but i still have the capacity to tell right from wrong, and fact from fiction. i would say that regardless of the entertainment i enjoyed before the age of 18(which apperently magicaly makes you mature) i am a well adjusted person.
the company has the right to know who is stealing their software. if they choose to contact the individual or institution and there was just a flaw in the code that made it think that it was cracked when it was infact legit, all the acused would have to do to clear their name is prove that they have a legaly purchased copy, which honeslty isnt that hard to do. it's not like it gives out top secret information
"the universe on a t-shirt: The quest for the theory of everything" by Dan Falk is a really interesting book. it's very simple, and it's all about the why, not the how. it's basicly an overview of the history of physics with enough information to get to know what you want to devote more time to learning. i have about 50 pages left to it, but i highly recommend it.
to use a cliche, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
an accurate rendition of something done by something other than a photograph is an impressive feat. the way they accurately (re)produced scenery, vehicles, and people the way they did was amazing to me. i find things that amaze me beautiful.
they claim it will be un-noticable by the viewing public, but i know over the years my eyes have become far more sensitive to flicker. these movies will probably end up being like looking at a monitor set at 60Hz. that's just painful.
windows users are the only ones who dont have a strong connection to their operating system.
there's linux users who tend to be very anti-microsoft, there's mac users who in my experiance are very fanatical. then there's windows users like me. i use windows, it works quite well for me, and i've been using it as long as i can remember, but i dont feel the need to be pushy or get on other people's cases about using a different os, and i dont feel any reluctance to learn other os's as well.
i use windows, for no better reason than it's what's on my pc, and i dont like one button mice.
hey, why stop at the electric company, why not go after the coal mines and rivers for generating the power, or mayb just shut down GOD for making the rivers and the coal and the electricity and the people?

not to mention "this post is actually off topic" states very clearly that, although there was previously a shadow of doubt as to the off topicness of the post, it is infact off topic.

good printer, but don't overwork it...

Isn't it obvious?
Mike got ahold of the controls again.

convergys?
they dont trust us to answer the phones, they answer themselves and beep at us to tell us to shut up and get to work(and then start talking again.)
i couldnt imagine doing my job without headsets tho, would be torture.
i make 11/hour CAD, it's enough, not alot but enough.
i figured someone would post your lan box in here. if not, i was gonna.
No recharging is needed, just a refill of fuel.
you can get methanol pretty easily, and the point is that you can refill it. seems pretty handy tbh.

Since when is rioting and looting gas stations doing anything to help the environment, or poor people.
well, the looting is acctually the poor people going into the gas station to steal all the chocolate bars and coke.
and all that tear gas they're using, that's gotta be good for the environment

If our space shuttles could bomb Iraq we would be getting new ones all the time
i dont see why they cant.
They also had this one room where a group of people do nothing but taste batches of coffee all day long
sounds like a good job. where do i sign up. i wonder, do they take coffee breaks?
