    i feel a great big haha coming on, but its nice to see that there is someone in microsoft who has the wits NOT to run their own dog food, at least someone thre has a brain, mind, its no constiation when i see my hotmail account full to the brim with spam, even with every security setting that microsoft would allow running ho hum

    i think it was arther c clarke that came up with this, apart from the cool ness factor what on earth would be the point, i suppose you could use it to download yourself into a robot /cyborg thing, and if you died in a road acidnet they could "download" you into a new body, but it just seems to be a bit of a gimic at the moment, whoo lookat me i'm on a dvd sorta thing.

    hang on, solaris, becomeing linux compliant???? eh???????? i thought solaris, being UNIX was posix complient, and so didnt need to be LSB compliant. hang on wont this turn solaris into a linux clone, but linux is a unix clone................ i'm gonna go and lie down, i think i'm dreaming

    i have a laptop with a desktop proccessor, to be honest i dont notice the difference in speed, with normal every day tasks there is no need for the proccessing horsepower. AND i've noticed that i actually get a better battery lifetime on my machine then someone with a 'mobile' chip.... there are advantages to having a desktop proc.

    why is that more and more IT stuff has to be covered in that horrible silver effect plastic? its not cool and it makes them look cheap, there are a lot of good laptops out there ruined by crappy silver oh_look_how_cool plastic. give me titanium anyday but then at $99 it is quite cheap already..... hmmmm, looks like you get what you pay for

    surely that'll give clippy home ground advantage, and where's clippys motercycle.....? maybe clippy is the sort of thing linux is lacking, an animated tux that will on click do something pointless and unnecessary and waste some nice proc cycles. i miss clippy in open office..... do you think he'd run independantly uisng wine? anyway, tux would kick clippys ass, cos he's got the power of free software
