  1. Re:Not Curiosity/Firefly DVD on Fox Considering a Return of "Family Guy" · · Score: 1

Yeah, it did have Repetitive Plot Syndrom(tm), but so did Lexx during its second season, and it got much better after that. I think with a little time to adjust they could of done some great things. The episode 'Meow' (Max going into heat) really shows how well the directing was -- Obviously a ratings grabbing episode for sweeps month, but instead of having the entire episode based around sex, they focused on how undesirable it was for her to have those cravings. Verry well done IMO.

Couldn't agree with you more. The last episode set the next season up so perfectly (Max being true to her character and fighting society as a whole by taking a stand), then fox just yanks it. I wonder how much money it would cost to run a TV network now that evrything is digital, maybe setup a system like Transgaming(makers of winex) where subscribers(in this case donators) get to vote on which shows to revive, maybe charge $10 per vote, unlimite votes a slong as you have the money. If enough people got together, you could bring back great shows like Dark Angel and The Invisible Man, maybe even Lexx(though 4 seasons is a good run for a show like that, theres only so much you can do with a small crew like that).

I enjoyed both, but you really only get one run through before its boring. It is a great story and told very well (dream sequence effect was superb), but I honestly don't see myself playing through it again. Same is true with any storyline based game for me, I can fire up quake1 singleplayer any time and its still fun, but once the game has too many cutscenes and dialog it just kills replay. (granted, playing through it again using developer mode to get the nude chick skin would be fun)

Once you start ranking them (especially for stupid things) you get StatWhores(tm) who only play for better stats. Speed still doesnt compare to opera or even ie, but you can't really compare either of those to moz until they go opensource. The only real competition in the opensource browser market is khtml, but its rendering sucks.

What defines 'right' and 'justified'? Its all objective, so the only thing you have to go by is either personal oppinion or majority, and if the majority is doing something because they think its right and justified, it becomes so.

The boston tea party wasnt 'right' or 'justified' in the eyes of brittain. Neither was Rosa Parks refusing to go to the back of the bus. Whats Right and Justified is constantly evolving, and this is just one of the fronts.

While that may sound like a reasonable thing, consider the following:

You run a 600desktop company, all running win2k3 corp like you should be. One of the machines breaks, so to reinstall it your tech has to have the cdkey. Few weeks later, he gets fired. He takes the cdkey with him and procedes to leak it on IRC/usenet, thousands of people use it and it ends up blacklisted. Now your corperation can't patch until you pay 600*$MSTAX.
