    Its verry harmful.
    This is unoptimized pre-release code. it isnt intended to be used or judged upon, but there will be many who download it and get crappy FPS and just think the game sucks. Thats why it was shown at e3 -- it was a closed enviroment, so they knew it would work fine.

    There are zero modems that require MS.
    However, There are modems that require a software driver, but thats far from requiring MS.
    All you need to do is make a driver for whatever platform you want, and it works fine.

    Getting way off topic here, but couldnt you use something like how mplayer loads windows codecs?
    There are existing softmodem drivers, So it could be done. You'd just have to wrap the calls right, and I think its possible to make a universal softmodem-driver-loader.

    More for curiing curiousity. It would be nice to know just how much stuff stays around in your videocard after you've watched something.
    Screenshots only look at whats currently displayed, a mem dump would show everything prerendered to.

    I've noticed this to, it would be interesting to make a program that will take a dump of your video ram then just display it all as best it can. Any game developers up to this task? They'd know about reading/writing directly to vid mem best.

    I seem to recall a program that let you swap to a video card, That would be a nice base to start on.

    But .NET is still in RC1, definitly not ready to ship (removed sndvol32.exe yet still have control panel trying to launch it?). Certifying a RC1 is unneeded, no one should test an OS on a server that requires certification.

    Its not UNIX, Its portable. It will run on just about anything POSIX, And they even made some (albeit buggy) windows binaries.

    But what about those that cannot have physical contact?
    Be it for mental reasons (sociophobia, agoraphobia, or many other related diseases), locational reaons (What if you lived in alaska or some deserted country town?), or physical reasons(ugliness, basicly. though really this is more mental if its preventing contact)

    For those aformentioned people, contact is a verry valuable thing, but verry hard to get.
    For them, just knowing that theres someone on the other end possibly enjoying this as much as them could be enough to make them happy.

    Just because you had it easy in life dosnt mean the rest of us did. We can't all live our lifes the way you did.

    Theres also two projects that add JavaScript to Diablo2
    d2jsp and Jed

    I've never used jed, but d2jsp is verry easy to use, and comes with a bunch of examples that will work for whatever you need with only minor tweaking.

    You just make a disk image, and pass it to whatever emulator you would want.
    Transfering the data back over might suck, but it would work.

    Yes, because no one is so unethical that they would specify your ip address as the source instead of theirs.

    The only thing to slow this down is checking routes, but even that can be gotten around (they just have to be on your network, thats not hard for colo's, shells, and most other providers)

    Not all denial of service is saturation.
    What happens when i spoof that you just DoSed your favorite website? You get cut off from it, and denied service.

    Although as far as taking advantage of this sort of thing goes, I'd much rather be able to use an ICMP Redirect to make a DoSnet packet its owner.

    The suit is pure defense.
    I don't know about you, but I couldn't shoot a girl(troll ethics and all).
    If shes fully covered in armor, its kinda hard to tell she's a girl, so she's easier to kill.
    Now, if you can see her happy fun places at all times, there is no way you could kill her.

    The huge hole also helps air out her stanky playground, which i assume gets pretty bad in a suit like that.

    Guess who provides EarthLinks Cable? Heres a hint (random local tw page, search your own and you'll find the same thing)

    I realise you're not using EarthLinks cable, but having EarthLink in AOL/TWs pants can not be a good thing.
