  1. outrageous on Watching Kids Via Mobile Phone · · Score: 1

this is seriously completely outrageous, and is a potential infringement on human rights. Take the many children with abusive parents who could utilize this device to seal an even tighter noose around their neck. I know if I was a kid with one of these, it would make me really resentful towards my parents and cause unneeded rebellion which would most likely lead to a bad situation. Although I still wouldn't agree with it, a straight up alarm device that could be activated in times of trouble would be just as affective if thats really all its for.

Another example of how copyrighting has gone way to far. Seriously, do you think anybody really associates mozilla with godzilla, or think that it has any sort of affiliation with it? What does it really matter? Just another corporation trying to sue the little guy for a buck.

That could be true, except for the fact that what it comes down to is the immoral, selfish, greedy people are the ones that end up at the top, and we end up with very few large company's actually existing. These large company's (surprise, surprise) seem to base all judgements on financial gain, including such things as defrauding others.
The sad thing is when people all talk about how horrible it is, such as nike with their child/slave labour, yet the next day these people are out there loading up on Nike's and Mcdonalds(another one of those terrible countries).

Check out theyrule.net, it's pretty interesting.

What are you talking about??? We're assaulted time and time again, with shitty movies coming out, which seem to make millions of dollars, even though they suck. As far as I'm concerned, if you don't think multi millions of dollars is a decent living, you should be shot in the face right now. Then on the other hand, we have lots of excellant independant movies coming out, which make very little money. So don't tell me that you need tons of money to make a good movie, hollywood people are just lazy/stupid.

He sit's there bitching about Linux GUI's, then talks about how great command line is, and proceeds to offer no suggestions at all as to what he thinks is needed. It just seem's kind of pointless to me. I think the biggest problem with GUI's in Linux is the X windows system, and that people should start putting some thought into that...

Actually, time is base 12, and personally(not that i think it will ever happen) I'd love for time to go metric, it would make much more sense. There are a lot of really good ideas relating to metric time out there, just google it. Our current system of time just doesn't really make sense. Swatch has been making internet beat time watches as well, which are metric, but could use some work.
