my god, don't be daft. it's not because i hate americans, which i do, but because this country is going nowhere soon, only down. no, it's a dreadfull country. other european contries are nicer and have nice broadband, though.
call it legal murder. ok, i understand a little more of what your saying. i said xenophobic because he was a suspect for looking islamic, hence xenophobic (or religious-fobic or weirdguysfobic). i do understand the desire for the police to do something, and i hold both politicians and mass media responsible for this mass histeria about something that really isn't new, different or big. what i am getting at is that "sorry, my bad" is not enough. it is time we started taking this seriously and stop believing in the mythical al-qaeda and it's evil masterminds, because enough innocents have died because of both sides fanatic attitudes already. more precissely (sp?) deciding to shoot someone who runs away from the police is a very dangerous road to follow.
now, i mostly agree with you, but not on this issue. from what i know, they shot him after they got him. not when he was running, not because he aimed a gun, but because they had grabbed him and decided to shot because he may have a detonator. he could have one that detonated when he let go after he died, if we keep making what ifs.
well,i forgot the other part of the post... the warez version will not have ads one day, or they'll change them to make fun. about when to pirate, i'm not going to go into it, but this will increase desire to do it, that's for sure.
risk of being caught by the RIAA: depends on country and on network... lack of sources for the song you want poor quality rips, fake or garbage song files, songs that arent what the filename claims they are: not a problem since i started to use bittorent... not as fast, though, on actual good music.
because McBride is a noone, while Ebbers still is a powerfull man. anyway, the comment is probably only because it's closer to him then the other one (is it worldcom or enron?), not necessarily because of any rational thought.
actually... i just read the other reason for those movies today. see, some countries sponsor movie making with very loose rules. and it's very easy to find european companies to front the production of the movie, even though the money doesn't stay there or employes many native people. i didn't understood the legal aspects, but it ends up we in europe are financing 10% of big budget films like tomb raider. so, i might as well download a few...
look, it's funny as hell. if you take it too seriously, it's your fault. having said that, i did email them about the Didio thing, and they weren't specificly saying that people shouldn't complain, but that people should not make personal atacks on them anyway, not that she didn't deserve it. it wasn't even against slashdot, they just worded it wrong. it was even my first episode, so i'm not just a fanboy. honestly, i don't think they give a fuck about being unbiased, it's just a hobby and don't think that some things are worth arguing. it's funny, sometimes informative and insightful, and it's free. what ever helps the community, right?
anyway, that's almost a good point. except people are making good money of un-DRMed content anyway, and anyone who wants can get the protected music/game/movie days before release. DRM does abso-fucking-lutly nothing but piss off consumers.
oh, and up-stream filtering? that's uncrackable, now there's something SSL can't do! or a simple passworded zip or something.

i think you mean vista is the public beta they will sell for people who don't now any better.

this case was nothing but xenophobic murder.
yeah, like cd prices will go down.
yeah. or half-life 2. yeah...
in fact, retailers already include the value of thefts in the products value.
just like the RIAA already includes the costs of manager's Ferraris.
we don't need excuses, we have no money. :P
so there

One more reason to pirate games, i guess. keep it up!
nitpicking :)

wow, that wasn't modded to oblivion? that's a surprise...
i kind of agree with your flamebait, BTW.
you can have this rule
$2000 is two weeks salary... in the US!

It's "Portuguese".
But feel free to ask about the language
for god sakes, people, that was WRONG!

as David Brin put it (google it), it's no longer the fight of the just rebels but a fight of the ones who were born to be powerfull.
alas, OSS viewers can be compiled not to respond to the DRM flags.
or you could just change the reader's code, for that matter.
sorry.
4 years? that's a very very crappy car.
15 years is acceptable, though not great. 4 years is crap.
You know, they are French, so those puns wouldn't quite work the same in french...
Finally?
Clue, April Fools is supposed to entertain, mislead and laugh.
Not bore to death and steal attention from real news.
lol. :)
thanks
how anyone didn't reply this, i wonder...
