    You'd still need the umpire to determine when theres a play at the plate if the runner is safe or not. Also you need umpire to determine if the pitcher bachs or not. There's still lot things for umpires to do.

    Like Hockey. They replaced the goal scoring with an automated system but it didn't remove refs from the game.

    The original ms soap toolkit had object called "ROPE" Remote object procedure enviroment or some shit. Still remember meeting with the suits of my company explaining to them that our ms office addon was going to use SOAP with Ms's Rope object. You should of seen the look on their faces. Not to mention MS also has publication and discovery procedure called DISCO.

    I never had vs.net crash on me, I do get the random #region error bugs and newline in constant compile errors and if leave my project open for a few weeks sometimes intellisense will disappear, buts thats after the apps been open for a few weeks. No offense why are you working with vb.net? That language is hideous to look at. I learned vb.net first but quickly switched to c# and never looked back.

    Actually you are wrong. When Directivo first came out you could select the qualities, but after the very first software update it now defaults to auto and removed the menu option to change it. Its not directv stream, try watching family guy from tivo compared to watching it live. You can seen the artifacts especially when it cuts to a new scene.

    From the article

    To qualify for the felony provisions the sender must:

    attempt to send either 10,000 messages within a 24/hr period or 100,000 in a 30-day period OR the sender must generate $1,000 in revenue from a specific transmission, or $50,000 from total transmissions.

    Its a clear definition. Alter the headers and send over 10,000 emails in day and its illegal.

    Personally for that price range, buy a power book and run virtual pc on it. For laptops, Apple rules the market in style and quality. Unless you play games on your laptop, i couldn't find a reason to buy any other laptop.

    A lot of people at my work have powerbooks, ms office for mac is actually better product then it is on the pc, go figure. Only problem people at work have experienced with the powerbook is that suspends when you close the screen.

    Converting from one lossy compression to another lossy compression always ends up with a worse quality copy. Only true way to create an mp3,ogg,or aac is from the original uncompressed format.

    I think sony was abusing the license for movie spiderman. Prime example is the game "Spiderman the move", Notice how there is no mention of marvel. Sony got the royalities since it was "based" on the movie. Also blockbuster used spiderman to advertise their products and same goes with bestbuy with spiderman in their commerical. These royalities were paid to sony not marvel.

    Um Its designed to kill you not designed to blind people. Designed is the keyword word. Phosphorus laced muntions all can blind you, but they aren't designed too. Primary function is to light stuff on fire so you burn to death instead. Hell a bullet to your eye can blind you.

    To detect stealth, all you need to do is have some guy posed as reporter sitting at the airport that houses the stealths and to call up Saddam when you see the planes take off. Or you could watch CNN, they were reporting when the b-52 were taking off from england.

    They got 0 in 91.. There was special on discovery channel about it. They managed to hit ~25% of them but it failed detonate the warhead.

    It all depends, what if the customer has his/her pages on an ISP server and the server is the cause of the problem, they forgot to pacth the sql server that they provide on the server or some item relating to faulty administration. Why should a customer be stuck with this bill? Or some ip is nailing the server and the ISP does not provide a way for the customer to deny the traffic. Customer should have every right to say that they don't want any worm traffic hitting the server and ISP should provide those tools or services to do so. If the customer is colo'ing a box then I would say its customers responsibility for everything, but when it comes hosting your site on an ISP server, it ISPs job as service provider.

    Their driver department is terrible, I'm still waiting for the next driver release so I can play the freelancer demo without stuttering which ati and digitalavil both say is fault in the ATI's driver.

    Ever since XBox came out sega has wanted to switch their arcade platform to it. So its a natural step. Arcade market is never going to die. Where can you and your buddies spend an evening racing virtual cars with big screens and little model car that actually moves to your cornering. I don't know how many evenings I spent at game works drinking beer and playing video games. If i'm not mistaken but didn't Dance Dance revolution start off in the arcade market?

    I'm actually amazed how well xbox is doing, I would have thought nintendo game cube would of killed them, but suprisingly they are number #3 console/game machine in the market. GBA being number #1 and PSX2 being number 2. I thought xbox live was going to fail, but they found 350,000 people to pay yearly fee of $35 and it hasn't even launched in all markets. Thats free money since games are setup peer to peer.

    The 3Dmark benchmark 2003 is for new features(directx 9, PS2.0), if you want a more realistic benchmark you can always use the older versions like 2001Se which has directx 8 and ps1.1.

    There is no game that uses directx 9.0 or Pixel Shaders 2.0 but it sure nice to see how these so called direct9.0 graphics cards actually peform. And it has really nice eye candy to boot.
