I'm more interested in the innards of the device itself. What kind of "cpu" does it have? Maybe an Altera FPGA? What can this device be made to do? It's only 50$ can someone do something cool with it?
We need major companies to warm up to linux. Some (like Dell) like you to think that they are Linux friendly but then give you the Monty Burns "cold, dead, fish" handshake. And send you on your way. IBM has been being the good guy in giving us kernel goodies. HP has been doing cluster stuff. Gateway doesn't even show up on the radar anymore. But if they can be good on their promises about the desktop then maybe we can get somewhere.
www.draper.com Back when I installed Air Traffic Control simulators we used Draper screens. I was looking at the Draper site and they said they had seemless displays and this was about a year ago. We could get pretty seemless with the large screens that we had.
I remember playing pretty decent video on my 486 from a CD yet still forced to a tiny little window with garbled sound quality and badly pixelated video when trying to watch some streaming news.

Yes, I've seen this problem a lot. People are comparing the ease of use of Windows to the ease of use of Gentoo or similar, in which case Windows is a whole lot easier (don't get me wrong, I love Gentoo). If you're going to compare the ease of use of Windows with linux, compare it with a distro that's designed for ease of use, like Mandrake.
And for all users who complain about a kernel compile being hard compared to windows, if you think about it, in windows you aren't given the option to modify the compile options of the OS which is basically like someone just using binary packages (rpm, deb, etc) in Linux. So if you want windowsupdate like updates, subscribe to the "Redhat Network" or get a free one system trial account. It is really not that expensive and you can have your system updated without messing with things. And if it comes down to a new kernel revision, Download a new ISO and "upgrade"
Dell laptops support embedded HD passwords as do many other brands. They could set the EULA to refuse to unlock the HD unless you agreed. Locked drives will not even function in other computers.
I worked in an area where several different phones were close to each other. You never knew which one was going off, but then I found out that you can modify the rings on the phones. So some phones go "burrringgah!" and some went "rrrinnngahring!" These were Lucent / Avaya phones, others may have different features.
Yeah I was using genkernel for compiling. After removing the pre-empt functions and moving the modules folder and recompiling it works. Now that I think about it, do you have to emerge a patch before compiling with pre-empt? If so that must have been it. Because these drastic speedups that everyone talks about didn't seem there on mine.
Since diamonds can be produced cheaply according to the previous article. I want a cd made of a solid piece of diamond. Then I'll never have to worry about scratches again. And if I wanted, I could sharpen the edge and flex my l33t ninja skillz!
I'd much rather see a 9 year old Linux look-alike used. That would be cool.

THUNDERBIRD!
What's the price?

Gotta love Open Source!

organize files according to breast size, number of women, and relative perversity of the acts commited.
I didn't realize you were on my CC: list!
That way, I never need to worry about what folder to put it in.
:P
I'd symlink it to all folders so where ever I am, I'm in the right place. Then just use the search utility to find it.
damn, I liked my testicles.

Why, yes I did!

Oh well I have Thunderbird and Firebird, so I've got mostly everything.
Any time someone asks you to do something, sigh loudly, rub your brow, and shake your head, and repeat, "Great... Just Great...."
Honestly what can you do in Moz, that you can't do in firebird?
When you figure that out let me know so I can install MOL on my Dell laptop. I want to run OSX under Gentoo! :P
Mecha-Streisand? Terrorists beware!
I'd bet you could do this on one of those online betting sites. I guess you could use that graph to calculate odds for betting.

I would be supicious too of any shared hosts. I don't see them doing much to prevent it on their end.
