Yes, American Chopper and Trading Spaces are real thinkers.
Can you build a motorcycle and sell it for $100,000? Are you smart enough to build a sucessful multi-million dollar business, market yourself and build a brand identity for your family? Are you smart enough to take a pile of unassembled raw metal and turn it into a motorcycle? Do you understand engines, transmissions, combustion, drive systems, how brakes work, metal fabrication? The cast of characters on American Choppers might seem like they are neanderthals, but what they do is hardwork, takes a lot of talent, creativity, and does require a lot of thinking.
The video game industry produces more than $10 billion dollars a year. That's more than the Hollywood. I don't think interest is on the decline, and I really don't think they care if teenagers aren't interested - Who says their target market is teenagers anyway??
If someone's a lot older, or from a long ways away, they probably won't fit in as well as a "local". This may sound strange, but some people prefer to work with people that they can actually get along with.
I hope you never have to interview for a job when you are older. How does not being a "local" and being older mean you won't be able to get along with the person?
The only requirement to get into Continental's President Club is to pay the $375 annual membership fee. Well worth it if you fly on a regular basis.
Where did you get the idea that you need to fly first class or have a platinum frequent flier accout to use Continental's lounges? Or any other airlines for that matter?
I was just about to use the credit card to buy myself a fancy new Powerbook. Finally convinced myself to trash the Dell Latitude. What should I do now??
I've been lucky, I've worked at 3 different places when each movie has come out. Each employer has had scheduled outings for all employess to go see it on openining day!
It isn't even remotely close to what you would find on any FM station in your market, I don't care where you live. You need "check" it out a little more I think.
not anymore scary than what everyone already knows about you already... talk to your bank, your credit card company, your insurance company, your doctor, your mortgage company, your landlord, your employer, your airline of choice, etc.....
BRAD: "... my job consists of basically masking my contempt for the assholes in charge, and, at least once a day, retiring to the men's room so I can jerk off while I fantasize about a life that doesn't so closely resemble hell." Well, you obviously have no interest in saving yourself.
LESTER: I've spent fourteen years being a whore for the advertising industry. The only way I could save myself now is to start firebombing.
BRAD: Whatever. Management wants you gone by the end of the day.
LESTER: Whoa. What kind of severance package is "management" prepared to give me? Considering the information I have about our editorial director buying pussy with company money. Which I'm sure would interest the I.R.S., since, technically, it does constitute fraud. And some of our advertisers and rival publications might like to know about it as well. Not to mention Craig's wife.
BRAD: What do you want?
LESTER: One year's salary, with continued benefits.
BRAD: That's not going to happen.
LESTER: What if I throw in a little sexual harassment charge?
BRAD: Against who?
LESTER: Against you.
LESTER: Can you prove you didn't offer to save my job if I'd let you blow me?
BRAD: Man. You are one twisted fuck.
LESTER: Nope. Just an ordinary guy with nothing to lose. I hope you and I can still be friends, Brad. And even though you didn't save my job... you can still blow me, asshole.
I'm pretty excited about this new RE game... oh wait, I can't play it, I don't own a Game Cube. So how long do we have to wait to play it on the PlayStation?
>> I have not watched much of the show
Then you can't really make that statement about the show. It doesn't present any of it's episodes as "wrapping them up in an hour" and that forensic science is like that...
So if team X scores 36 runs in the first game of a seven game series and then doesn't score a single run in the next six games they should win the series? That's insane.
"I agree that the average person won't make an excellent chef, and that it takes more than a recipe to make excellent food."
No. Most recipes suck. They assume the person knows how to cook at the basic level (ie. saute, braising, broiling, baking, seasoning, etc.) Most people don't understand basic cooking skills. You don't learn these by following a recipe. You don't learn proper seasoning by following recipes. Cooking and cooking correctly is a skill, honed by hours of practice. There is no right or wrong, but when it comes to basic cooking techniques and seasoning, there is. Salt is good... most people don't understand that simple phrase.
I read your post... I have no idea what you're talking about. Can you post it again?
"All this to say this engineering book about cooking is just a cook book about cooking and not real science."
What the hell does that mean?
My favorite. Kill -9

Is there any reason to watch this channel anymore...?
Anyone know when/if a new GTA game is coming out and what it will be about?

Though Sirius only streams their music stations on-line. You can't listen to any of the talk or sports stations.
