Actually that link has nothing to do with what I was saying, and had to do only with translating the tutorials. There is no information there or anywhere about how to change the language of the menus and interface under windows.
since it assumes I want the interface to be in incomplete/poorly translated Japanese language, and doesn't seem to give me any way to change it to English.
Why firefox keeps locking up on me, and why I can't start it up without getting 2 or 3 msgbox errors? Because the best the firefox faq has to offer is "uninstall all your extensions, uninstall firefox and install again from scratch". Ok, did that, it didn't fix it. Now what? I'm stuck using IE again.
On the bright side, gamma ray exposure is what brought us the Hulk, and his hot cousin She-Hulk. So hey, what's few million flavors of fish, give or take?
