    The flu (and pneumonia) is actually the 8th leading cause of death in the US. The first two leading causes of death are heart disease and cancer, with more than 10x the number of deaths than the flu. Both of these can be caused by smoking.

    At the end of the original French Le Petit Chaperon Rouge, there is a moral which makes the sexual aspect of the story pretty clear (translated into English):

    2. First of all, this is a 15.4" computer with a single-core chip and you're trying to compare it to a 17" dual-core unit. Not a good comparision.

    The MacBook has a 15.4" screen. There is no 17" MacBook.

    Last I heard from an Apple Store employee and a Apple Care rep (separately and over the phone) that the policy, at least for the cinema displays, was one stuck or dead pixel for a replacement.

    Powerbooks (and iBooks too I believe) can be run with their lids closed. They wake up automatically when you stick in an USB input device or connect an external monitor.

    Being from Mercer Island, I would like to point out that a) Bill Gates does not live here, he lives across the lake in Medina (Paul Allen does live here though) and b) There's also a bunch of rich Asians here too.

    The only problem with compatibility with the Gamecube is that the Gamecube's optical drive rotates backwards and reads from the outside in.

    Strange... I have all my finder so it shows everything in single view mode except for one folder that it always shows in list view after I set it that way

    I have the beta and I've running both the linux and windows versions, and their performance is pretty much the same.
