Except it annoying to have to delete 20-30 messages every morning.
That said my spam free accounts I have are nice. If I get a message on one of them. I at least know it's not from some just 18 year old girl trying to smuggle money out of Nigeragawa from her porn site profits.
The Sony Playstation 2 has had Linux available for it for almost a year now. Click here
Sure you can just go an install any Linux distro on it; however, it not x86 based and noone makes a full alternative distro for it.]
If you really wanted you could do a minimal install and then upgrade everything you want to run by recompiling from source.
As for the GameCube, the lack of a hard drive will limit the use of Linux on it. Sure the Dreamcast didn't have a hard drive and it ran Linux; however, I see writeable media as a neccesity. And don't give me those 2-8MB memory cards are all you'd ever need.
This could actually work...
Most spam I get has invalid reply-tos.
Making this automatic would at least stop these types of spam and force a real mailbox.
I can't really say it's 6 years late... 2 maybe 3 years sure but not 6.
On a side note Neverwinter Nights was in developement for 5 years and won best RPG of E3 for 3 years in a row.
DNF willcome out. I'm just not sure it will meet anyone's expectations with it taking so long. Think Dikaikatan.

I agree with you. I prefer games that have a good story.
However, it is possible to have a good story and have some openendness to it. Games like Morrowind and Daggerfall both have a main storyline; however, you can go off in the world and do whatever you want without following the story.
Other games such as Shenmue are not as free, but they still offer a large amount of things you can do. Shenmue is also interesting in that the environment changed around you. It starts off in December and people wear coats and such, but time can pass to it becoming spring and people wear light cloths, tree blossom, etc. There are also many different scenarios you can partake in to accomplish a goal such as going into a bar and fighting a group of people or going into a pool hall and challenge people to a game and get the needed information either way.
The best use of AI in a game that I have seen so far would have to be Seaman for the Sega Dreamcast. It wasn't so much a game as a really cool way to show off AI. In the game you raise a fish/man that grow and eventually will have actual converstations with you. It'd be really interesting to see this work in a game using multiple NPCs.
There are several mature games for the Gamecube such as Eternal Darkness and Resident Evil.
However, many of the games are still kid friendly.
The majority of gamers are in their mid-teens to 25ish; however, there is and will always be demand for good games that are suitable for all ages. Sure many Nintendo games may be labeled as kiddy, but who cares if they are fun.
If Nintendo does one thing right, it's gameplay over graphics. Mario Sunshine and Animal Crossing may not be the best looking games every, but they are incrediable fun to play. And isn't having fun why you play games in the first place?
The thing about Nintendo is that they are control freaks. By making games for something other than their own console would mean someone has a higher say them then.
Nintendo is also smart and crafty. They have been making money on the Gamecube hardware since day 1. Sony was to; however, not at as large a margin.
One of the reasons they are still so popular is that the name means quality. Everyone of their systems takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'. Look at the reports of massive Disk Read Errors on the PS2, and Dirty Disk errors on the X-Box. A friend's gameshop has had loads of repairs on PS2s for DRE, and alot on the X-Box as well.
The last Gamecube repair was from a kid kicking the front controller port panel into the system. EGM have a GBA a swirly in a toliet and after drying it worked. In the old days a Nintendo Power letter told the story of a boy who's house burn down. He found his original bulky Gameboy. The case was melted, the cartiage fused in the slot, and the screen unviewable; however, turning it on the power still worked and he heard the startup noises from the game Tetris.
Apart for great hardware Nintendo owns alot of great francises like Mario, Zelda, and Metroid. People who buy a Nintendo system can be assured they will be able to play the favorite characters.
You do know MAVAV was a spoof from an art college student.

The GC can do non-interlaced, and some games on the PS2 can as well.
Also a newer version of the DVD driver for the PS2 has surfaced that allows progressive scan DVD playback with you buying a remote.
Software problems? It's most likely an improperly setup system.
If your buying pre-built the first thing you should do if format the computer and do a clean reload of Windows without all the useless crap loaded by the manufacturer.
I won't say that you will have a system without problem as I've personnally never seen a computer without an issue every now and then; however, my current load of Windows XP Professional is a work horse with only a slight issue every other month or so. These are normally fixed by rebooting.
Before complaining about having to configure a computer and mantain a computer. Remember you have to maintain a car to it run in top condition.
I completely agree with you especially in an academic environment.
While going to school I didn't have these things other than a PDA need the end of my schooling.
I didn't then, nor do I now see the need for these devices. If a teacher is extremely boring , then just do what I did just learn to sleep sitting up without snoring. This was especially helpfully after being up 'til ungodly hours working on school work, messing around on the Internet, or playing Video games.
It still disheartens me to see all the students just wasting their time. If they don't care about the lecture then don't goto class. Sure it makes the class harder; however, if you not playing attention in it anyways there isn't much difference and you won't be distracting other students that are trying to learn.
When all is said and done. New toys are fun but they do not work well in an academic environment. Hell, I'm against putting a computer in every classroom in primary schools. What use is a computer that occasionally gets used to play some dumb little educational game this is several levels below what is being taught in the class. Sure it's common place to need to know how to operate a computer but that doesn't mean you have to be around them at all times.

Even better was a ride on Boblo Island, at Amherstburg, Ontario. Boblo Island is a now shutdown ammusment part on a island on the Detroit River between Detroit, and Winsoir.
The Rollercoaster was in complete darkness, no lights or anything. It really was freaky because all you had was wind, the force of the ride. It really disoriented you and it was very cool.
Hopefully one day Cedar Point will build a complete darkness rollercoaster. Disaster Transport is ok, but nothing like a full blown rollercoast in the dark.
The original project's name was Playstation X. This was abbreviated to PSX. After the official change to Playstation, the X became unneccessary; however, the media still used it and it stuck.
IANAL; however, AFAIK it is perfectly legal to own bootlegs to personal use. They might give you a hard time if you have multiple copies, such as you might try selling them.
One thing I for to mention is that they also have a VGA version of KQ2. It a rewritten story and some new puzzle, but it's true to the original. Only enhanced.
Has recreated the VGA version of KQ1. They also had the person who voice acted Graham in KQ5 & 6 do the voice for him.
Overall it's a great free game. It's not a nostalgic as playing the 16 color AGI version; however, it's the same game in a prettier package.
As for an original copy of King's Quest, your going to need to use eBay. Sierra has unfortantely stopped selling the Collector's Editions that included all these classics. You should be able to get just KQ1 for a few buck; however, a Collector's Edition can easily hit $50 or more.
IIRC, The original japanese mega drive had the master systems hardware in the console, and the US system didn't.
Phantasy Star 1 was on a Mega Drive cartriage that had a prevouisly unused pin. This triggered the master system hardware to take over.
It's kinda like how Sony included the original PSX's cpu in the PS2, only the PS2 still does some hardware emulation of video which is why it can improve it.
I agree 100% with your feelings. Look at other countries such as Japan. It is illegal to own a gun in Japan.
While small time criminals won't be running around with guns (seems they like running around with knifes and stabbing people). The more hardened criminals still have their guns.
Personnally I like my guns; however, if they take them away then I'll still have my walkie talkies. And I'm not afraid to use them.

Even if they have to work a little to get that information, are you readily giving it out? I'll give you $5 for it.
I can more than make up for the $5 with all the expensive electronics I buy on your new credit cards.
Some things are just not worth it.
The rest of the disk is written in the weird backwards, can't read in a normal DVD drive way.
I don't really think legacy support has as much to do with the GBA's popularity as the there isn't really any competion in the market for it.
