It seems like everyone is on the "Switch to Firefox" (I realize they didn't specifically name Firefox) bandwagon. Which I cannot be wholly sure if I like? Blind allegience to what happens to be my favorite doesn't make me any happier because the real goal is to educate.
If everyone mass-switched I fear it will belittle the point. I believe people need to SEE why they should do something, not just do it blindly. If it takes for them to be affected seriously, so be it.

I don't believe CNN's CEO agreed with Jon. It was probably more the cynical Americans which agreed with Jon and their viewership dropped. Or more appropriately, maybe he was tired of looking like a fool at the posh CEO gatherings. Whispers behind his back, "It was his decision to promote Crossfire, and now America is laughing at him. Where's my martini?"
Come on, they argue the entire time on the show. It's the polical "Seinfeld". The show is about nothing, discusses nothing, and at the end of the show accomplishes nothing.
The type of people who watch the show are akin to AOLer's showing "me 2" in a forum for a crack or password (or, if you will, slashdot trolls). Its just a self-servering "riot" show only meant to get the people riled up that "their hot topic was discussed on national TV." and somehow their side always won. That show (prior to Stewart) never changed anyone's opinion nor helped anyone understand the other better.
They bring a bad name to the word "debate" and as a philosopher at heart, I believe they have done nothing for true intellectual exchange. Karma got them in the end.
I'm as interested in space as the next geek, but I can't help but think of the thousands of computers out there can be running more productive things. I really didn't have any suggestions, and I'm not saying its fruitless. I'm more or less hinting towards there being bigger priorities?
Possibly along the lines of clicking thousands of click thru to get money for battles against the *AA? Again, I didnt' have any substantial, other than the nagging feeling...
Anyone else come up with anything? I suppose they should be more CPU-oriented rather than bandwidth-oriented.
I don't know, but my problem is that it started too soon.
How is it possible for a compilation set to be complete before the year is over? I recommend everyone search for "paris hilton" (the second item on the list) for the next 8 days just to throw off their statistics.

I don't have much bandwidth issues with my Cable modem playing Halo 2. In fact, I average less than 10k/sec download and less than 5k/sec upload while playing on Live in a Big Team Battle (16 people).
I played a few games with two Xboxen on the same line. My friend (Account1) and I (Account2) played in different Big Team Battles with mild lag. However, when we joined as a party there was again, no problem.
The problem came when we had 3 Xboxen on the same line, even playing in the same game. Could be our config on a router or whatever, but one of us (always randomly) would drop during game setup.

Most of those TV episodes don't include commercials or originally aired on extended cable channels like HBO. Those original providers cannot be terribly thrilled about it.
Due to the Sony v Universal case in 1984 (also known as the Betamax decision), it is LEGAL for someone to own one copy of an episode that was on the public airwaves (CBS, ABC, NBC, etc) for the purposes of "timeshifting" (what its called now). You are also allowed to give out a copy of your copy to someone who missed the show. This makes www.tvtorrents.net COMPLETELY LEGAL, even without commercials. (as they only have local channel shows).
Now, of course, shows on HBO or Discovery Channel are not as legal.
Really? A pre-order is selling out more than a item that's been out for 4 years already? I'm just curious, how is the sale of Super Mario Brothers/Duck Hunt doing against Halo 2 preorders?
I love my Jerker. It seems to be a bit wider than the grandparent's desk (I can fit my 3 19" LCDs across it) and I keep my swingarms on the outside (the grandparent has them on the inside) for more space.
You won't be disappointed. I originally purchased the set because I wanted something "movable". It's easy to take apart and put back together (nice for the disaffected college student or perpetual mover;)).
With Google branching into so many fields, one day you'll drive your Google to the Goggle to buy some Goggle to eat while you watch Google on your Google.

Some dogs are functional though. "Seeing Eye" dogs, drug sniffing dogs, bomb detection dogs, dogs to seek out victims in structural collapses, dogs that find people in avalanche areas, and the like. I remeber when a 10 year old OS was a reason not to upgrade. Maturity and all that.

Just kidding. But I know what you mean. Our system that runs ____ has not had 1 minute of downtime in the past 5 years (as long as I've been here), whether its longer or not, I'd have to ask some of the others. Let's just say it's not made by Microsoft.;)
3. USB keys universally work across all platforms and OS's
The only problem I see with this is USER-acceptance. I believe the past two versions of the linux kernel, Windows, and MacOS support the USB Key just fine. However, the problem lies not in the manufactures of the OS, but the user's inability to upgrade their Windows 95/NT machines despite it being a 10 year old OS.
4. ALL OEMs stop relying on floppies for ANYTHING (Dell for example)
This is a problem that relies on the manufacturer of the key/bios. If Dell wishes to have a bootable image to load some proprietary OS/software so they are 100% sure that its not corrupted when it loads into YOUR bios, then more power to them. However, upon booting to the machine/key, should it recognize one or more.img files, a menu should be presented with which image to boot.

Since Ubisoft pays my girlfriend to work I am sort of partial to them and their success. Cause then I'd have to get a real job.
