When I need it again, I open it up and start working. For the PC guys, no I dont have to wait for the screen to light up and some bar to cruise across my screen. The mac sleeps and awakens as quickly as as I close or open the screen.

Well only if its a 3 legged calimari. (First Wire) The AC adapter. (Second Wire) The ADC monitor, which gets its dc power through the video card, one less power cord on your desk. This monitor also has a pair of usb ports. (Third Wire) Harman Kardon Speakers. That is 3 wires hanging under the cube and not very rat-nest like. The keyboard daisy chains off the monitor. The mouse daisy chains off the keyboard. The keyboard has 2 usb ports as well. This leaves 1 unused usb on the monitor and 1 unused usb port on the keyboard; you could connect a printer or flash drive here. No need for wired ethernet, you can use an airport card. I would say this is avery clutter free design, as far as wires go. The inside of the cube is very tight, but hidden from view. Overall, the cube worked nicely on my desk. Very small footprint and clutter free. The clear ADC monitor was a definite conversation piece, but I later replaced it with a cinema display. The cinema display also has a pair of USB ports and gets its power thru the video card.

I think this is a feature. I HATE dealing with morons on cell phones while driving. Most people have enough trouble navigating a 4000lb piece of equipment without the extra interference of a damn cell phone. If you need to make a call pull over to the side of the road, complete your call, resume driving and pay attention to the road. BTW, I was almost sideswiped by an idiot on a cell phone today.

It depends on how you use the dock. I have the dock set to the smallest setting with magnification and auto hide. I prefer more screen real estate and less clutter. I use command-tab to scroll thru my open programs. This allows for me to move more quickly thru my programs and the command q quits the program. I find this is much faster than mousing to bottom of my screen. I almost use the dock exclusively to launch programs and nothing more. I dont find the subtle glow to inhibit my productivity. However your mileage will vary. So I said all of that to say this, it is a personal preference thing and hopefully there will be settings to address these preferences.

I do not think that we can be certain of any trend when we have a very small set of collected data in relation to the size of this phenomenon (both here on Earth and within our Solar System) Do a google search and there are scientists writing papers about Global warming on Mars, Jupiter, Titan, and perhaps more if I cared to keep looking. Perhaps our Sun is going through a different phase? Solar flares have been on the extreme end of the scale in the last few ears. My gut feeling is this is larger trend not yet understood. However, for political parties and their minions, this is a hot button issue. It is bad enough when politics get mixed into science, and worse when we are dealing with something so large and complicated as weather changes on a solar system scale. We can barely predict weather now, so I think it is rather smug for some of these groups to be so certain of themselves. Yes, I believe things are warming up here, but why? How? What will be the outcome? Who knows. All we can do is collect more data and leave politics out of the equation. My .02 cents.
