Kids these days do not know the difference between a program and a file. Double clicking on a file is "starting the program", they often don't know where exactly on the filesystem they have saved their file, they don't know what a file type is (Text file? That must be Word, right?) and I could rave on. I see this every day, and it is absolutely maddening.
You know this to be the case when you have to
describe a terminal as 'a little black box'.
It's already possible. Try going to Google.com and rightclicking in the main input box (where you would type your search query) and you should see a "Add a keyword for this search..." menu item.
If you click this the bookmarks dialog will appear. Add a name (Google) and a keyword (g) and you will be able to search google by typing:
I expect it's a very small proportion of modchip users that use the chips for this purpose. I'm glad they have become illegal, they do nothing but damage to the gaming industry and everyone involved.
...is the lack of a standard toolkit. Keep an eye on X.org. I only really work in terminal appart from web browsing. When I copy a url from a term I have to remember to have left the URL bar in firefox bare. Otherwise I end up selecting it to delete the text in there.... you see whats happening anyway:)
The project involves private companies like Cray, IBM, and SGI, and when complete it will be capable of sustaining 50 trillion calculations per second."

I use Windows, Linux and Solaris every working day. I can put up with Windows on the desktop but on the server it's a joke. Crappy error logs (IIS), amazingly bloated (Windows Server 2003), almost unscriptable (Windows Server 2003), un-modular (Windows Server 2003), Security issues advertised daily... the list just goes on.
I could easily come up with Linux examples supporting the same statement. In fact, Slashdot posted the study showing Linux was the most-breached OS on the net.
Sony will be releasing the tape drive add-on in the first quater of next year.
Wouldn't cheap solid state computers be a little blunt and heavy? Surely an axe would do the job better? No software needed either.

Yea, sleep in the server room.

Completely taking the point out of a distributed network....
I for one welcome Paris into our community with open arms and hope that..... hold on.....

1) There are many car manufactorers, not just one. 2) Most of them don't build the 'default' sterio. If they do the components are from a third-party.
Fifth Gear /did/ make it to air. It's rubbish, but it made it.
....DVD Jon has come up with a crack already, just from the text of the article! :)

...if they can accept this then there is still hope for my application: "Use of the letter E (used in upper or lower context)."
