    1. dont let any one pay less than 10% income tax especially if they have more than a million in assets/income.
    2. instead of giving $100 to welfare recipiants, to buy $100 of food, force the super markets to give $100 of food to that person for cost price which would be less than $30 to the state.
    3. force all govt departments/unis to NOT spend all their allocated budgets, if they spend 90% and leave 10% in surplus, give 30% of that surplas back as staff bonuses, we all know that govt departments act like little sovient unions, spending all the cash they get and never shop around for the cheapest/best deals.
    4. why are banks making such large margins on loans, and fees. Allow people to use fixed/low 5% credit cards. Banks still make money, the rich pension funds do not, but who cares. They own MS/apple stock.
    5. streamline the govt, get rid of 50% of the people, they are not needed and only work 10am to 4pm, instead of like real folk that work 8am to 530pm. Because govt employees have NO BOTTOM line, or profit counter, they can be as slow as they like, lazy as they like. Why do we need 40% of the population working in govt jobs? Too many managers.
    6. Screw OPEC, free oil prices like any other product, if it costs $20 to dig it up, sell it for $25, not $65. We dont need $2b a day moving to the middle east, they are making $200billion a year in SURPLUS each year FOR ZERO EXTRA WORK.
    7. the big money saver/earner, legalize soft drugs, tax em at 30%. No more crime, no more mafia, no more crime, 90% less police problems. Get a clue. Save billions, earn billions more. Make it like alcahol which is really a bigger killer/problem but everyone loves it coz its legal and other drugs are not.

    NEVER ONCE, did the americans get off their ass at 8pm to call australia.

    But in a world where 99% of jobs are outsourced to india, where will the american customers earn the dollars from?
    Working at walmart? Its no future for america, you cant grow debt at 3x inflation for infinity, eventually something
    will rebalanced, its like a drunk cannot drink his hang over away.

    How do you define cost, the first 12months are always 100% return on R&D, ie 1 billion dollars, / 2 million people = $500 each.

    Nahh, sony wants to still make a $900 HDDVD player, that costs them $18 to make in china

    After all, HDDVD is just the same as current DVD, but high res/speed processors and more ram ($2 more)
    with current usual DVI out again, barely any cost.

    Bluray readers.... well, bugger all I suspect, but they will just talley up the last 7 years
    of research dollars and divide it by the next 12 months shipping units = $1b/2m = $500 min wholesale.

    Economics is supply/demand and production capacity vs consumption capacity.

    If there is TOO MUCH production for too little profits, and not enough consumption....

    what do you do?

    Destroy capitol so that creates demand for more goods because it requires construction of new goodies.

    Sounds cruel, but thats the truth, if ever product was perfect in v1.0 and never deteriorated or broke down
    or faded color, or 'died', production would grind to a steady tiny trickly once everyone had everything.

    Hence, real life and dna, those products die eventually, so they constantly need consumtion to create new ones.

    We need to expand outside the plant to really grow the economy at a 100fold speed.

    Average movie = 5-7gig, add 50%, and its 7 to 10.5Gig

    Add in better mulitpass compression, and VBR, you can fit HD movies today on 9gig DVDroms in mpeg2, although
    todays $30 dvd players cant play em, china could easily make hybrid smart dvd players for $30 more than could
    decode/play larger res MPEG2 video in VOB format with DVI/YUV outputs just as digital-tv-STB.

    Theres not much a leap to HD, when $150 STBs can play digitalhd-tv, so why not just add a dvdrom to those
    and away you go. First one to market that from china will kick ass - china has the #s in terms of consumers willing
    to buy china brands, and not 900% markup japan/uas goods.

    Content is the missing link, though im sure pirates can easily slowly build their own out of date hd library from
    digital-tv/cablehd sources.

    Would any parent TODAY pay $4000 for a games console???

    I appologise for 711 employees, I bet they can afford 2 consoles easily.

    Even 16yo kids working at burger joints can.

    There are no console wars, buy them all if you like the games. Hell, its cheaper than a new nvidia/ati video card.

    I hate those big power bricks that when plugged in, wont allow a second small power socket to fit. Its too damn
    fat.

    Cant they either make em thin, or use a wired plug - like laptops.

    But what we need , are DC outs at the back of PCs, so I can plug the wifi, or adsl modem and 8port switch into the back
    of the PC and use the PCs power.

    debt.

    Do the maths, follow the money, its not all in some bank account or mutual traded fund.

    High oil is earning govts huge taxes, increasing/funding debt, keep rates down. A fall in oil prices will kill a lot of wealth generation of the global mafia. Modern industrialization would not be possible without oil , ie fertilizers/plastics/fuel.

    One final point, oil is not fossil based, WTF did 100 billion tonnes of animals come from? 500 million tonnes ofplants, and how did they end up 7 miles below the ocean crust?

    Now on xb0x360-live, I bet that come december + , you will be able to buy broadband delivered games 60% margins there,
    broadband delivered tvshows/movies (no Sony movies though), lots of music like itunes, xtunes? again no sony music.

    xbox360 is THE interactive settop box with no dependance on satelites/cable - just the internet.

    Add in IPTV and then he can start selling cable tv, with no wires needed. But instead of 500 channels and $99/pm, you
    pay per tvshow or series at your own leasure.

    360tv, 360music, 360games, 360voip, 360shopping

    Before anyone blinks, presto all the majors have no choice but to play ball with MS, since they will have NO infrastructure, or if they dared, it would cost em 5 years profits to make one.

    the 360 will be like having a startrek computer at home, at your service to deliver anything.

    Now personally, If I had than many eps, id put em all on HD-converted to mpeg4 or something.
    One 600giger will take care of it, though a lof of CPU time to convert though, but more portable
    than 3 folders of 80 DVDs each.

    Is it really that hard to download an app, ie iTunes and do cool stuff.

    Doing EVERYTHING via the web is a waste, if you really want it that badly, make the Xprotocol standard
    part of mozilla, then we can run X apps.

    Are people that lazy they cant download an app in 12seconds? or do corporates prevent app installations?
    Or is the real ticket here, controlling the user, via one app, no 200 versions to maintain ??

    K1-12 is designed to keep things slow and to the level of the teachers.

    Kids can learn faster and do it all well, its just the system is designed to make
    robots and YES MEN.

    The system cannot handle dynamic progress per student, its a FORD assembly plant.

    Maths can be sped up 50 fold, first 5 years is ridiculously slow/low tech. Kids can learn 8 years in 12months.
    History - that takes more effort/knowledge of the earth, tho skip the bit about remembering dates and its faster.
    Languages - well , the whole language can be broken down in 1 4hr lesson into a massive 1 foot sized flow chart and rules, the rest are just like learning C++, all the verbs and nouns and functions.

    Dude, if you can make a 911 call, then use your damn brain and say

    "hey im at 21st and 85th street tower, floor 54"

    No system is perfect, and its better to get some call in than nothing.

    GPS is easy, even if you loose sat contact, then duhhh, you have a record of the last 10mins of avail signal, so you
    can locate yourself roughly.

    And, if you are in a building, then damn pick up the normal phone, not every phone will be voip.

    If your in a forest, then yeah, gps will work, and im sure the cell phone wouldnt.

    ANd with camera phones, well, you can take the photo of wher eyou are and send it to 911 too, if they can recieve
    them.

    If voip has double the middle men, then why arent land line calls and cell phone calls DAMN DIRT CHEAP????

    coz they are raking it in.

    A) while running in windows, can it edit remote C/C++ files via SSH ?
    B) compile on remote systems using SSH rexec
    C) debug remotely via a SSH layer using GDB
    D) run from C:\IDE\ and not require a real setup.exe installation which might be prevented by corporate LOCKED DOWN PCs.
    ie. like a mac, can we just copy a running folder of the IDE and run it as is.
    E) run on windows but really editing/developing for a linux or sun platform.

    High oil prices is what the US govt and elite powers want

    it means every nation now has to spend MORE US DOLLARS on oil, which means more mideast richfolk have
    tonnes of cash, they dont know what to do with... and what do they do? They BUY US TBILLS/BONDS and lower
    the US interest rate. If it wasnt for $70 oil, your home lending rates would be 15-30%. China already owns
    more than 900b in bonds.

    So make oil $70+, suck up 1.3trillion of earths cash, and use 30% of that to fund the US deficit and high debt
    and keep rates down to prevent Depression-Mark2 total melt down.

    Now how long can this last? who knows....

    As they say, the MARKET is more powerfull than any govt in the long run, maybe the elite just want to
    delay/save things for 2-5 years, while they cash out and save their asses, and then let the economy fall.

    Face it, there is no free market, its all subtly controlled/manipulated, maybe not 100% of it, but >50% of it
    . Enough of it to matter.
