    The point of any consumer product like a computer or a game console is that the end user shouldn't have to make adjustments like installing new cooling systems. The manufacturer should take care of these needs, otherwise it's an incomplete product. How would you feel if in order to use your brand-new card you bought, you immediately had to do an overhaul so it wouldn't stall on the highway on your way home from the dealership?

    If this pricing policy would be adopted here in the States, I'd be happy as a clam. Then I could finally get some good phones that are currently only sold to Europe and not have to pay for the phone that came 'free' with my contract as well.

    By the time these things are rolled out, I'll hopefully be employed. With that logic in hand, I'd be game for one if my employer would be willing to chip in on the price. I see a dramatic difference between changing a computer's processor from 3ghz to 3.6ghz and changing the computer's footprint from 14" to 12" and dramatically improving battery life.

    Have multiple systems. It would be the most effective way to have the patent system. Perhaps one system for drugs, another for software, another for &c.... This way different types of inventions could have different patent lives, different protections against copying, you name it.

    With the phrase "phone that bends," I believed that the message was conveying that the phone was somewhat like the Gumby character. Also, it's not really as if the phone bends because you have to unslide the thing for it to "bend." The phrase "phone that bends" would apply more logically to a candybar-styled phone.

    From those pictures, it's impossible to tell if the phone bends or if it just slides on a curved track. From http://direct.motorola.com/hellomoto/motorizrz8/, it looks like part of the back end of the phone can pivot once the phone is slid open. I hardly call that bending.

    How about this: By not ensuring that enough money could be spent early on, he has caused the war to escalate to an extreme level. The result is that now we have to spend more money than we had to if we had just done the job right. It's kind of like when a contractor tries to build something without enough widgets, something bad happens because of the lack of widgets, and suddenly that $1mil project has exploded to a $20mil sinkhole, and he's still short n widgets.

    Now, I'm no supporter of Bush, nor nearly any of his policies. But I'd also be interested in seeing which other political groups AEI is affiliated or associated with. I'm sure they're somehow tied to parts of the Democratic party.... Basically, what I'm saying is that a lot of these groups are trying to get close to groups other than Bush and the neo-cons.

    Back in the 80's and NES was still new? How about back in the 90's? Although, I do have to admit that Guitar Hero was nothing new, it was basically DDR with a different controller. But I'd hate to say that "innovative, original games have no chance." This has two flaws: 1) You have to state when they suddenly ceased to have a chance and 2) It's rephrasing the thought "there's no need to spend any more time researching because any more advances in science would've come up already"

    Exactly. I type in "International News" into http://www.msdewey.com/ and I have to scroll down seriously to find the BBC. Meanwhile, I get shitty cnn and msnbc as the top results, as well as many unprofessional-looking sites. In addition to that, I have to do an additional click to mute the damn annoying chick while I'm scrolling through the list which is incredibly hard to read due to colour combinations.

    I think Arnold said it best from a fiscal standpoint, since your only complaint is about money:

    Providing children with primary and preventative health care reduces the likelihood that they will later require treatment for chronic long-term conditions.
    But then again, this is a political matter, and as such is open to pointless debate because nobody here is going to convince another here that they're opinion is any better than everyone elses.
