Sysadmins should expect vulnerabilities to be exploited over the holidays, and so should users. This is the period when script kiddies and crackers think the machines are least-watched.
IOW, don't expect to be sitting behind your quantum computer's 50" foldable display while wearing your invisibility cloak and surfing at 200mbps anytime real soon.
"Does anyone else think that the problems with getting something on Mars kinda gives validity to the whole "we didn't really land on the moon" conspiracy theory?"
Certainly, in exactly the same way I should be expected to drive 10 miles in a blizzard because I have shoveled my sidewalk.
English isn't evolving, it's being surgically altered. Don't try to fool yourself that some kind of natural selection has a damn thing to do with "bling bling" being in the dictionary instead of a dictionary of slang.
What other hope does a town with a name like Kecksburg have of ever being noticed? Just saying it makes my head hurt. Kecksburg. Kecksburg. Kecksburg...
...but you lost me at the first mention of a $99 keyboard. If "understand[ing] what you are doing and why" means being stupid with your money, please count me out.
I still use the old IBM keyboard I got at a computer show for $9 four years ago - you know, the ones you could just about hammer nails with and still use.
People didn't used to need telephones. Go live without one for a while, let us know how that goes. Or sanitation. Outhouses were good enough for our forebears, were they not? Handwashing is for sissies!
My browser does handle backslashes properly. It treats them as part of the requested document instead of pretending that we all agreed they could be treated as a delimiter.
I read it as "self-healing" at first. IBM, move over, the technology leader in caffeinated beverages is here!
