Obviously you read neither the article nor the previous posts. The/. header was in error, the cost is 100 billion+. Which, I might add, is probably closer to a wild-assed guess than a decent estimate.
How the fsk are you going to do that? You can't just make him sign a piece of paper? Hold a gun to his head? How many hours have you worked in HR? Besides, a contract isn't valid unless there's an exchange of value.
If your 8-port switch has led select lights for the port that is active, bring out a wire from each of the signals that drives the leds and wire each of them to a simple buffer transistor and relay.
Each of the relays would gate the respective sound signals onto a common bus. Use a double pole relay for stereo. 2N2222 (npn) and 2N2907 (pnp) are available from Fairchild through Digikey in TO-92 packages and would be a good choice for a relay driver.
Likewise, an Omron TX2-5V is a reasonably priced DPDT telecom relay with a 5v coil, also available from Digikey.
Wanting to use healthier and more organically grown food isn't enough. Someone's got to pull the fsking weeds. Sorry, I've tried that. 8 hours in the hot sun pulling weeds and I suspect you'd be ready to pour on some Roundup.
Ever buy a 55 gallon drum of Roundup? My apple growing brother does and it costs a fortune. Anything that reduces the cost of ag chems will probably pay for itself, providing it doesn't breakdown every 20 minutes.
He says he doesn't need to share internet, just files. Stick in a $20 hub and he's done.
So we've wasted oh, about 50 manhours on a trivial question that should have *never* been posted to slashdot. Really, this is almost too stupid for usenet, let alone slashdot.
My understanding is that there is something like 500 different designs for internal combustion engines. Needless to say, nearly all of them are useless for one reason or another.
Reciprocating pistons and poppet valves still live because they work well, can be manufactured with simple operations and have seals (piston rings and valve seats) that will last for years.
I thought about a design like this many years ago and concluded that there would be major difficulties sealing in the combustion gases. I guess time will tell whether the problem has been solved.
The real risk is that if you write all ones to the entire surface of the disk, you will effectively create a spinning monopole. This will cause your data to 'go back into time' and erase itself.
But I strongly suspect that any cause of the shuttle loss will be phrased so that Ron Ditmore doesn't have to lose his job.
He lost tons of credibility in the beginning when he stood up and said that it couldn't be the foam that caused the problem. Soon after, we learned that he refused the request of NASA engineers to have pictures taken of the craft while in orbit.
Not to mention the fact that I can still get cartridges for my 8 year old Canon copier.
After dicking aroung with cheap fax machines and flaky fax servers for too long, I bought a Canon laser fax/printer/scanner/copier. Should have done it years ago.
With fricken neutrino beams on their fricken heads...

For research into possible neutrino/hadron shielding materials and techniques.
Not $100 million+ in /. header
Just how many photons they detected for the faintest star.

So we can send a case to all the federal judges.

I think I have a new name for my laptop.
Is a royalty-free streaming video feed of the court proceedings. They promise to be quite entertaining.
That hasn't been rebooted in 3 months. Does that count?
Actually not a bad idea at all. It's trivial little stuff like this that gets lawsuits tossed.

They will probably turn around and sell the list along with an exemption from enforcement to the highest bidder.
I know about Lexmark. I know it's only an action at this point. I sincerely doubt that a court will uphold their incredibly stupid move.
That last time I checked, the DMCA only protected copyrighted works, i.e. ink on paper, not ink in cartridge.

Correction, it was a full-up Win98se disk that I bought, not Win95se, which probably doesn't exist.
