  1. Remember good ol' days on Videogaming Most Popular Activity Among Kids · · Score: 1

Remember good ol' days when the most popular activity was jerking off?

  2. Re:not a laser on China Tests Anti-Satellite Laser Weapon · · Score: 3, Interesting

They've got it wrong. They've attached the shark to the laser instead of the opposite. Hence the "kinetic kill vehicle". I still can't explain the missile, though.

  3. Move to Sealand before is to late! on IsoHunt Shut Down? · · Score: 1

Sealand is salvation!! Move to Sealand now before it's too late! I'm building my own Arc with the purpose to leave with 2 copies of each copyrighted piece of work to Sealand. If you really care about your copyrighted material, send a copy to me. Mail me to arrange the details. No child porn please.

  4. Support piratebay.org on DRM — It's Not Really About Piracy · · Score: 2, Funny

The guys at piratebay.org want to buy Sealand to make a copyright-free nation. Even if this is a joke, it makes you wonder.

I would buy Sealand, and make pot legal. Ideally, I'll move my brand new principate to an appropiate latitude and start my own production. And then, smoke it for the rest of my happy, worry-less, life. So I guess the answer would be number 1

  11. Re:back at ya on US Visitor Fingerprints To Be (Perhaps) Stored by FBI · · Score: 1

It makes no sense -- except for the pride. An American visiting Brazil is far less likely to be a criminal, than a Brazilian visiting US... We go there as mostly as tourists (thus having money for leisure). Many of them come here for work (in need of money)

And your opinion is based on any factual data at all or just plain prejudice?
Using your line of thinking, I'd say that when mostly of you go to another country you don't go as tourists, you go as invading force. So I think it makes pretty much sense to have you all identified.

  12. Not sure on Drinking Alcohol May Extend Your Life · · Score: 1

  14. Re:Now all that's missing on DARPA Funds Remote Control Sharks · · Score: 1

We already have head mounts and lasers that can do pretty good damage.

What we really need is a battery good enough to power the laser without sinking the shark or disrupting the shark's swim. The battery ideally would be IN the shark to preserve it's hydrodynamic coefficient. And I guess that's where robot sharks comes in.

  16. pointer pixel on 15 Things Apple Should Change in Mac OS X · · Score: 1

The most annoying thing I found is the "hot pixel" in the arrow cursor. In Windows is the exact tip of the arrow while in Mac is more into the arrow body. This might be an optical ilussion because the arrow is black, but still I found myself clicking the window beside the one I was trying to resize.

Another one is not having a Win+R command key to run apps. Of course there are many solutions to this. Including Apple+Space, start typing the name of the app, then Apple+Enter takes you to the top hit and run it. But I would like to have a "Run".

  17. DRM on Why Does Everyone Hate Microsoft? · · Score: 1

Because they lobby along with the music and movie industries to enforce DRM.

They want to control what you can see and hear, hell, they want to control everything. If that's not a Sith move I don't know what would be.

After a life of coding (days, nights, weekends, holy days, etc)...Working in small, grey cubes in floors with artificial light, drinking coffe just to gain performance and not for enjoying it's flavor. And after doing that in many companies in many western countries, my best advice to you is... get into fashion photography. Those guys truly know how to live. Go to remote islands to shoot beauties in bikini, go to beach parties, make out with every single one of them, etc.

If I can only reach one kiddie with this advise. My job will be done here. /. reader: What are you laughing at??

  22. Re:2024?? on NASA Unveils Strategy for Return to the Moon · · Score: 1

Because you never got there!! And now comes the rush before the chinese actually make it and realize there's no evidence of a prior US presence.

On a more serious note, this is not just a touch down and return mission, they have to stay there for longer periods. They have to live there! And, if something's goes wrong a rescue/repair missions would take much longer than sending a shuttle to the space station.
