I cant see a credible prequel without Emmit Walsh. I would prefer a sequel with Gaffe as the new Captain of the Blade Runner unit, and somehow have the movie center around the replicant soldiers like Roy Batty, and Jason Scott Lee from Soldier.
Maybe make it a meditation on their quest for rights beyond slave labor, and cannon fodder.
Coleman -
Give it back - sure you saved it and restored the plaque, but its a moon rock it belongs to the public.
State of Alaska -
Thank him for safe keeping a state treasure,
Display the Rock in a museum, and include the message of thanks to Coleman for keeping what you thought was junk, but was also historically valuable.
make sure you never loose this thing again.
They were probably never going to succeed beyond being a boutique auto manufacturer. Their real innovation is their battery pack technology.
Sure its a bunch of small cells, but its semi affordable, and more development may bring down to fully affordable.
So the AT&T system would cost an additional 6 million dollars, and cost schools, and public libraries approximately 4X as much.
A forward thinking Republican should propose we (i live in WI) invest in WiscNet to make it the data connection the entire state government uses - after all wouldn't the threat of a significant loss in sales force a private entity to become more competitive?
Email, and most other forms of communication can be handled by a smartphone. With my iPhone i can make a VPN connection to my work, and launch an RDP client to do work straight from my phone, its not the most fluid way of getting stuff done, but an emergency password reset, or something along those lines is accomplished easily enough.
...I'll upgrade eventually, if they want my coin quicker it will need to output to HDMI, and even then I will probably wait for the first price break.
I don't game like i used to so it works for me at this point.
If I had one complaint - its more directed at EA Sports - I would like to use the classic controllers on Madden.
XP, and Office 2007 does what we need it to.
However, we will be upgrading to Windows 7, due to new minimum desktop specs put out by our Overlord State Agency.
I am pushing to hold off on new hardware, and just install W7, with some extra ram on our current PCs.
I'll take a shot at Firefly -
Joss Whedon's inclusion of the killer pixie character ruined the show.
The source material was set in the time of Reconstruction after the Civil War, dealing with how the crew, essentially former Confederates dealt with becoming even a marginal part of the new "world" should have been the focus.
If we take Ridley Scott's word for it, Deckard is a replicant, and by deleting the narration the concept of Rachel not having a expiration date is lost.
I would prefer to see development of a next gen vehicle. Maybe a man rated X-37B, or take another run at the Venture Star.
The Shuttles are cool, but they are really complex. A smaller vehicle with the mission of ferrying men to space, with a complement of unmanned ships moving cargo is probably the solution we will go with.
I am having trouble getting basic hardware replaced - I can't get a 500-750 dollars to replace some network switches let alone enough scratch to update my primary DC.
Our Budget Analyst does not see the need to plan for future needs, or periodic replacement of vital equipment as warranty cycles expire.
I have documented our needs, but my boss the CIO is afraid to push the issue.
Implementing this via the bus system, to prove the tech, then rolling into other building projects.
Step 1. Induction Road beds
Step 2. City bus systems runs on electro buses
Step 3. modify Hybrid cars to run on induction
Step 4. Interstate highways are rebuilt to with the technology - reducing oil reliance, and pollution. Smug may become a problem tho.
And that is in casual games. IMO games like Mario Kart, are perfect for the split screen, they are simple from a game play stand point, and are graphically pretty simple, making it easier to not look at the backgrounds.
If all you are doing is a little web surfing, online shopping, and email a 768k connection is just fine. Not everyone will be streaming Netflix, or demanding HD Content.
I care but not when I'm on vacation

Anxiety and IT?

I am the only IT staff member for a state agency, and I while I fret taking time off I also know that I have too for my health. I'll take my laptop but the rule is if they call me it had better be an emergency because of union rules governing vacation and on call times.
When I am on vacation I generally don't care.
Our standard at work is XP, and Office 2007. Right now XP simply handles all our needs. There is nothing offered with w7 that really justfies upgrading.
I have a pretty good friend who used to own a retro game arcade on State Street just off the UW Madison campus.
Rising rent forced him to close down a few years ago, which has deprived me of playing the classic Star Wars arcade game circa 1983
Occasionally the Wisconsin Historical Museum will fill their first floor exhibit space with his games.
touche!
They mention a village of 60, which is not named in the article - so I inferred the 9 were form that village downstream.
its a poorly written article.

All sides drop all lawsuits.
Everyone move on.

Take a page from history. Merchant Raiders on anti piracy patrol - let them sink the pirates.

I got Windows 7 Family pack for 125 on Amazon.
Sure it Home Premium, but it does what I need.

That movie deserves more love.

Buck Rogers in the 25th Century needs a comeback - Gil Gerard needs work!
My 64sqft offers a modicum of privacy when I am on the phone, and insulates me from others phone calls, and conversations.
