    I'm not defending the actions of those who made the decision.
    My point is that she bears some responsiblility.
    My wife is a middle school teacher, and I am pretty aware of how cravenly PC, and image conscious schools are. If the perception of impropriety exists the administrators get skittish, and over react.
    This student teacher should have known this, she was working IN the school FFS.

    In the end IMO everyone here is in the wrong.
    1. The school supervisor over reacted
    2. dean of Millersville University School of Education should have allowed her her degree
    3. the student teacher should have managed her photo's better - Drunken Pirate was the caption - without the Drunken modifier probably wouldnt have been a big deal.

    I do not agree with the outcome, but this has happened often enough that one would think most people would understand that you should exercise some restraint on your posts.
    Most HS kids know that they need to control whats seen on their FB pages, and at 25 I would think this woman would have understood that also.

    All the funny comments aside I think this is kind of appalling. This should be a fairly simple project. If I was in a position to make some unilateral decisions, I would ask the National Archives for some assistance in creating the electronic records system.
    It might not be within the strictest interpretation of their (NA's) charter, but I think its certainly within the spirit of their mission.

    I wonder if anyone else submitted a legit no hitter.
    I can understand keeping it quiet on 2k's part, you don't want people to stop buying the game because they are trying to win the prize, but I would like some more stats like how many people submitted a complete no hitter, how many were legit, how many spoofed one.

    I understand completely. I am 6'8", and @ 300lbs am considered morbidly obese, I try to buy 2 seats when I fly just for the some extra legroom, or to sit a bit sideways for my knees.

    "Much Darker" just means more poorly lit sets.

    Gritty means there will be rain, garbage strewn about, and major set pieces will be taking place in either abandoned industrial complexes, or abandoned buildings.

    I read the original 3 Dune books before I saw the David Lynch movie, and I didn't think it was half bad.
    But why not adapt some other stories?
    A Canticle for Liebowitz, or some other ACC novels, like The Light of Other Days, or even Imperial Earth has come miniseries potential.

    As pointed out earlier the first foot print was probably obliterated by both Aldrin, and Armstrong.
    Why don't we ask the lunar astronauts what they think, I bet they would prefer science trumps some treasure hunter.

    Besides I think up close inspections of the Lander bits, and especially the rovers would provide valuable insights into building vehicles that can withstand years, or decades on the moon, and still be useful.

    I saw and article or maybe a tv show once that mentioned the currents through the straits are pretty intense, Im betting it was thought of and ruled out because of this.
