They would continue to buy Apple products, but from either the Apple online store, Apple 800 number, or an Apple retail store. I agree that cell phones are abused way too often. (Jerks taking useless calls in a theater is a prime example)

However, we should never block cell phone reception anywhere.

What if a doctor were to go watch a movie and one of his patients started dying and he needed to be contacted? What if a loved one were in an accident and people were trying to get ahold of you so you could possibly see them before they died?

There are many scenarios where having cell reception is important.

Just try to use the vibrate or silent mode. I can deal with people forgetting to turn their phones off in a movie (though I myself have the courtesy to turn mine off), as long as they don't yack on them in the theater.

    >>Misuse of high level languages such as visual basic, as well as off the shelf components for everything, has led to a level of code bloat in todays applications that is inexcusable.

Due to the advancee in hardware capabilities Bloat is now excusable - and encouraged. It is cheaper to buy a big ass computer that can crank and hog bits than it is to pay somebody good money to nitpick over every bit of resource that their programs consume. Why take precious hours to pick out every class to include in your app when you can just include the whole damn library and the program performs the same?

The quicker an app can be developed the better. Every day that you aren't running your code in production is a day that your corporation loses money. Yes I know that programs still have to be well written and protect the interests of your company but my point is I don't think that bloat is as big of a deal as your sentimental for the olden days post makes it out to be.

    • Give extra room - you can crop later. Too many photos don't give enough head room or whatever. If you can't run an imaging program to crop someone else can.
    • Buy the biggest memory card you can afford. When your taking pictures, take as many as you possibly can. Carry an extra card and extra batteries. Don't worry about reviewing the image on the 1.5 inch LCD screen and deleting it then. Wait till you import them onto your computer to give a fair assesment.
    • Try to be somewhat concience of what the flash on your camera does. Learn when to use it and how to turn it off and on. You will always see people in huge football stadiums taking a picture of the field from the 200th row with the flash on.
    • You don't have to Use the LCD Screen all of the time. You know, that fancy camera of yours does have a view finder on it. And it actually is possible to turn the LCD off and hold it up to your face. Many times this will give you a better shot. Especially when you are taking a picture in the dark. The LCD will be almost completely black and these people will be straining and straining trying to see images on the thing.
