    I just wired a new office building. Let me tell you why with the minimal cost difference that you put in CAT5e. In 3-5 years Voice over IP will be popular. Now what are you going to use all the CAT3 cableing for? This way you can have 2 network jacks in every cube.

    How is that an effective way to check? As a network admin I have 12 Linux servers and a Windows machine as my workstation. Guess which one racks up all the web stats on Google.

    Keep in mind most Linux machines are servers and most people don't browse the internet with their servers.

    Why does everyone complain when they are expect to actually do work at work. They are not paying you to keep the seat warm.

    On another point I say two can play at that game. You want me to work every second I am at work that's fine. But when that clock hits 5:00 I drop everything and leave.

    I would be more interested in stats on a webserver that took a puke. It would be interesting to see what started the dominos falling and what ultimatly brought it down. It would be as good a learning experiance as this article is.

    I was just thinking of how they could plan on it leaking to track the leaker. Now the word become was spelled "ecome". What if they wrote a program to misspell one work incrementally to each person? So the first person would have the first word spelled wrong and the second would have the second word spelled wrong. See which word is spelled wrong (because you know they would want to make fun of it being wrong instead of fixing it) and then you have the source of the leak.


    Nah..... This is Microsoft we are talking about.

    You can access any of that you want. You can't however sell, distribute, or give away what you access. I can take my computer, rip out the CPU and spend a year mapping the layout. I have done nothing illegal. If I sell it or publish it the internet then I have broken the law. You own what you own and unless you SIGNED a waiver to say you were not going to do this you are free to do what you want with YOUR stuff.
