    it's pretty basic law in the USA
    a check drawn on a bank, MUST cash it at face value when presented with the instrument for payment, so long as ID is sufficient.

    they MAY NOT charge a fee to cash a check drawn on their own bank..

    from personal experience, some, such as first union, did at one time consider branches in florida to not be part of the same first union in NJ, but seperate banks..
    but when wachovia consumed the entire chain, wachovia NJ had no problem accepting wacovia FL (same account # no less) as drawn on them.

    um, no--the recipent(employee) need not have a bank account.

    Regular salaries are payable in checks, which do NOT require a bank account of your own to cash.

    actually, in NJ state law REQUIRES employers to facilitate cashing of checks, if the paycheck issuing bank is not available locally.

    I have an AV 340.
    if the battery recharge cycle hadn't died so fast, it would have seen a lot more use, as it is, I use it as a distant vcr.

    Connected to my glasstrons, I enjoyed overseas flights a lot more than the airline offerings, for up to 9 hours....

    Yes, losing out on it's subscriber base,
    but really, their closed and proprietary IP connection is quite heavily utilized.

    Shudder-- I actually push it on people who won't get broadband, for their SE edition stuff.
    I just make them yank all their then existing anti-virus stuff first.

    I picked up a mint 880 for 300$ (and paid too much) it has 800X600 res, and can run terminal services into my xp machine.

    fits inside my Scott EVest inside pocket.

    the 790 are half the size, with a 800X400?300? resolution

    (half vga)

    seriously consider this...

    well, we know that SCO's licensing had clauses that required customers to respond to certain inquiries..

    the only reason (daimler?) could refuse, was they were no longer current customers, they were ex-customers...
