    First drop of milk poured into hot water moves through the hot water and with intertia keeps moving down..... and absorbing ALL the heat it passes on the way...

    first drop of hot water poured into milk passes through a lot of milk with inertia, and gives up a little heat to the milk as it passes on it's way down..

    the very first bit of milk gets a lot more heat than any bit of the milk gets when the water is poured on in..

    imagine the difference between touching a 1000 degree surface for one second, and a 100 degree surface for ten seconds and a 10 degree surface for 100 seconds.

    Note sure how the definition works, but generally, to be a miniority, your membership must be involuntary.

    I.e. you don't choose gender, race, physical/mental/optical abilities.. you do however CHOOSE your O/S and the Govt does not have to support your choices..

    point is, they'll consider it completely safe.

    the same decision I make to talk on my cellphone while driving (illegal in my state) because it's 'safe'

    the same decision I make to skip the seatbelt because it's 'safe'

    is the same decision a shuttle pilot might make in hopes to win the bet, it's 'safe' to give just a slight twist to the control surfaces of that twenty thousand pound falling brick.

    seriously, if they affect any flight decision in an attempt to win the bet, rather than what's best for the flight

    "just anudge to the left, and I'll make 500$" only they overcorrect, and flip the xXbillion dollar shuttle...

    Hmm./. ya'd think so right?

    I have at home comcast, at work location one comcast, and work location two verizon dsl.. (residentail class) it's prone to erratic drop outs, it seems at time to be weather/damp related but it doesn't matter, verizon REFUSES to come on site and test the line.
    they 'test it' and a few hours/maybe day later the automated recording calls to notify me that everything is clear on the line.

    let me tell you, it's not.

    the one time my line dropped inexplicably from comcast (tv cable & internet together) they roll a truck pretty damn quickly, and I'm not near the CO. with DSL- you know I'm within a distance from the CO measured in thousands of feet, and they won't come....

    two methods come to mind
    infrared projection, with night vision glasses

    and you know how polarized 3-d movies? with leftside having lots of horizontal lines, and rightside with lots of verticle lines? bury the captions in horizontal lines, cancelled out for the standard viewer by verticle lines, and issue polarized glasses that only transmit the one that the captioning is cleared by.
