Oh come on, it's a new generation. The ModernGeek can do mathematics and engineering while still being able to work on vehicles, be a firefighter, etc.
Maybe not, but the space station is awesome and should be mentioned as much as possible. I wish that we would have just kept launching Saturn Vs into orbit and deep space instead of retiring them. Imagine the space station we could have if each module was the size of SkyLab!
This is about the United Kingdom, not the United States; so it does not matter whether or not this is taxation without representation in the context you speak of. To the other poster, Corporations DO have rights in the United States, according to the 14th amendment and the precedent set in Santa Clara County v. Southern Pacific Railroad.
A "contract" between a University and a student is not law. The law is all about interpretation, and it is going to take a precedent to be set before one can judge. Right now, it's all up in the air.
Also, make it so that people have to get up from chairs once in a while.
AWFUL! What you want are high-back chairs that support the neck so you don't have to support your body the entire time. Also full recline capabilities help, too. Ideally, they'll never have to get up from their chairs. Think fridge under the table with microwave on top, etc. Also, if they do need to move around for who know why, make it so that they can roll over to their destination. I modified my desk so that I can put my legs forward on a padded leather cushion instead of having them dangle, this really added to my quality of life in the office. I have to get up to fetch things from the fridge, but that was a sacrifice I made so that I had room for a spare chair next to me when the occasional friend stops in.
Unfortunately, you'll never get the chance to shoot with Kodachrome. Sometimes it's nice being a geezer; I wonder what my grandfather was able to experience that I'll never get the chance to?
You are thinking of the South Korean Won, which is a W with two slashes through it. Get your vision checked, or if you have a 3GS / iPhone 4, enable system wide zoom.
Same here, I'm pretty sure that slashdot is sending us all to the crazy house. I've also noticed myself repeating words and typing a completely wrong word in the middle of a sentence.
Is there an American Equivalent to this place? I feel so third-rate here in the USA :-(
It's working on that.

I'd rather that it be 2010.
That was 1998.

I might just drive my SUV half a mile and get some McD right now.

Be quiet, you're just as bad as I am, if not worse.

Was she hot?
Spinning in your grave. Hur hur.
I built an iPhone car charger: All the details.
in the words of Hank Hill, "it was before we knew the Russians were incompetent."
I'm just glad that I'm not the only person who gets attached to the things I've created. *whew* From the Earth to the Moon Episode 5.

The touch of a woman.
No, from his methodology, it would be the destruction of the worlds forests by man kind.
It would have came naturally without force and torture.

When I read the headline, I imagined the government being able to protect my business from DDoS attacks.
Israel is a US State, is it not?
