I have dual Dell 1500FP LCDs on my main machine, and I have never noticed any lag between any type of input and the text on the screen. Sure, there is theorhetical lag, but I've never noticed it.
Join the fire department, and be a real hero. I recently joined the local department, and it works just fine with work and everything else in my life, and it makes me feel good about myself. Be a real hero, and don't pretend to be one. Once you join, you will be addicated, and never want to leave your department. It's the best thing I ever did. When you ride the fire truck down the road, little kids are waving at your, girls taking their shirts off in excitement. I'm a geek, but being a firefighter really helps your social life, and makes you feel good about yourself.
P.S. I'm only 17, so since I can't fight fires yet, I'm considered a "Junior Firefighter", and I'm not a dad. So it may be a little different for you, but should still be kickass.
My car is perfect as-is. I have a 2002 4-door Dodge Stratus SE with the 200HP 2.7L V6 (24 Valve, DOHC). It's pretty badass all 'round. It's been in like 5 wrecks and still runs like a charm. It has about 30k miles on it, and I put on about 10 a year (got it a year ago). It's an awesome car, and it's put up with what I've put it through. Two of the wrecks are from when I owned it. One time my mom was driving it, and the other (a few days ago), I was fully stopped at a stoplight, and a big truck rear-ended me. Screwed up his trunk bad, put a dent in my bumper. They are pretty good cars. The old-world pre-2001 ones suck though.
Yeah, it had a cool map too, you would click it, and it would move, and highlight the region you clicked, it was a lot better than the one now, in WinXP, which is the same map without the boundries afaik. Banning it from the whole country seems extreme, and I have no clue why they would do that either. Maybe just asking them to fix it would have been a better solution.
... 50% of every paycheck I get (after tax, etc), goes straight to insurance companies. Not giving me much else to live off of. I hate this. I only drive to and from work, I don't goof off, or do stupid shit. I just want to get back and fourth to work, and live happy. I can't stand having this tax on something that is now nesessary to live in this world. There is no way I could get back and foruth to work without my car. I havn't had an accident or wreck yet, and don't plan to. I'm only like 1-2 miles from work. I can't bike or walk it though, since the entire city is based around a highway that you get pulled over on for biking on or walking on.
I dont' get trolling, it isn't funny, and thanks to moderation, it isn't even annoying. So, why do people still try, I don't see a fucking point. It's stupid, it's old, and I'm feeding one.
I pulled the CPU out of a 486, and the screen just froze, put it back in, and a reboot, it was fine. I was also sitting here reading this, and a spider was crawling on my neck, so I hit it, knocked a glass of water all over my cellphone. The spider and cellphone survived.
when I was picking out a lightbar, this one came into mind: http://www.whelen.com/hires/mgm02coarb.jpg, but as a fireman, everyone behind me will be far away since I'll just be going really fast to get somewhere, I don't see how it would benefit. Even if I went to a car accident, I'd just throw on my hazards, but that is still pretty cool.
If it would have been patented, there would be no linux, no open standards, all would be closed, compaq's would run compaq os, ibm's would run OS/2, dell would run DellOS. Noone could make software in one language and have it interoperate between operating systems like we seemlessly do today thanks to C. We would have to pay money to develop software, we would spend more time worrying about liscensing then actually programming. Computing would not be what it is today. Thank god they did not patent any of it.

Yeah, he is. It is just a big marketing ploy aimed at the 'extreme' and 'hardcore' markets. It is an iPod to the MAX.

Without an AED machine, CPR only has a success rate of 5%. Save yourself in that situation.

How long has it been OSTG, OSTG sounds stupid, I miss OSDN
...if you visit real.com on a Windows machine, if you see the message showing about Real 10 for Linux. I don't have a Windows box to test it on.
I think it was a joke....
... why we don't have any screenshots what so ever.

... I already did that to one of mine:
:)
My MacQuarium
...I have a Mac SE that I want to use as a dummy terminal like a VT100, does anyone know how I could pull this off?
Especially when slashdot isn't even near 10 years old :)
... Ford Thunderbird. Would end up being mass chaos of who coined the term first. Rediculous.
... you donated it to the EFF

It works just fine on wine. 20040615 installed via apt-get on debian.
Well, it would force you back to iTunes, what's so bad about that?

I got lots of things in my car to let people know how I feel. a red lightbar (I'm a fireman), a PA speaker, and a siren :)
