Linux is successful many say because of Google- Google being the free 24/7 searchable customer support for your Linux problem. Somewhat ironic that Google's success is in part from using Linux.
Go to amazon.com, add a NEW apple of your choice to a shopping cart. Then proceed to checkout. No tax. It's a NEW apple, with full warranty. They are an authorized apple dealer. It's the same apple as the one you'd buy from apple.com, compusa, or elsewhere. This is not new news.....
I'll probably be modded to hell itself for posting this on a KDE/. article, but: if you are a Gnome kind of person, try GnomeBaker or Graveman for your cd/dvd burning needs.
I agree. Something is fishy here if Bush is wanting to sign this. Sounds like this is to help out the corporate world's stocks go up 0.5% so a CEO can make more money off of the poor work force. Extra light at the end of the day will probably result in longer work days, indirectly.
Star Wars Battlefront is what you want. Uses the BF 1942 game engine. It's basically battlefield, but with excellent John Williams score, and nifty Star Wars weapons. Excellent game, and can be found used all over the place. Online play with PS2 is fantastic.
But that price of NLD includes openoffice.org, rather than paying the per seat fee for MS Office.
Windows on a computer = $100 + $150 edu office fee: $250
NLD = $75(?)
Not to mention not having to worry about spyware, viruses, etc.
A large firm in my state with over 30 branch offices recently made the switch for ALL users to use Firefox. They blocked the access of running the IE executable. Perhaps 800 employees, in a multi-state region. Also it's word on the street: b/c employees will just tell their family members, etc.
It was all about laptops. Just before the merger was announced, a study was released showing that something like 40% of new PC purchases were laptops, rather than desktops.
That study doesn't take into consideration the many home-made desktops out there, and probably other local computer shops, but most likely does represent the retail sector well. Here was the/. coverage.
DVD Shrink installs and works fine in the current release codeweavers, too btw if anyone is interested. (Yes, I know codeweavers IS wine.) Anyone know of a Linux equivalent program though, that will rip then immediately make a dvd iso- with no compression, or loss of quality by encoding?
No, it's because Linux and OS X don't let you run as the full administrator, like windows. This is a simple fix, and if MS is smart, they will do this for Longhorn. Otherwise viruses and malware will prevail as MS's biggest problem.
(Don't get me wrong, I still like iTunes, it just seems very unpolished in Windows).
On OS X, the software update auto updates ALL mac software, including iTunes. Since you are using windows, well.... sorry. It may be me, but I don't think Mac really wants to get friendly with their competition operating system. There's a reason there's not Final Cut, iDVD, etc for Windows.

in Dreamweaver, there's a command "Clean up MS Word HTML".
You mean the menu option that says 'Delete All'?
I believe this is what you are takling about. :) Though I can't find a price.

Just buy a new mac from Amazon.com. Always tax free, year round.
Doesn't the ASUS company make the mobo for the current iBooks?

We are not robots. We would go insane if we worked straight all day with no break, all week long.

I like that 3D Firefox icon. Anyone know where to find it?

Mozilla adblock css works with Safari. Go to safari's advanced tab, and choose the .css file. No ads.
Anyone know when the auto-updating of Firefox is due to come? Rather than having to go to a mirror and download a new release?
Agreed. It doesn't delete them. Grrr!! Some manager.
its great to see support for SVG finally taking shape, Firefox 1.1, Opera, and possibly Konq and Safari. Now if only microsoft would support it...
At MS's rate, they will have it in IE8, perhaps in 2010. Maybe.

SGI makes/builds super computers for the National Weather Service, and the military that handle munching hundreds of terabytes of data a day.

You're missing my point about windows being vulnerable. I should have posted it this way, perhaps.

Sorry- I meant it updates all APPLE/MAC-made software. Should have said it clearer.
