I went to the last HP Spectacular release date event, the store made it clear that they had enough copies for every person currently in the store with about 1200 extra and STILL there were people standing by the register offering stupid $$ to people who had pre-reserved for their copy. Those same people would have been willing to pay 5-6x cover for 4-5 days advance since they were offering 2-3x for a couple hours advance.

    Let me elaborate.

I bought Diablo 2 and LOD because I borrowed a copy from a friend and the gameplay blew me away
I bought Warcraft 3 and Frozen throne because I borrowed a copy from a friend and the gameplay blew me away
I bought HL1 Platinum because I borrowed a copy from a friend and the gameplay blew me away
I bought rtCW because I borrowed a copy from a friend and the gameplay blew me away
I bought Windows 2K because I borrowed a copy from a friend(online during beta) and the usability blew me away. I actually waited in LINE for the store to open for Win2K

I will not buy HL2 because of their onerous installation and use policy, so I WILL NOT borrow a copy from a friend.

In an unconventional conflict a legitamate target covers a multitude of sins. For example had the attacks of 9/11 targetted ONLY the pentagon, white house and capitol buildings, anger and disgust would have resulted, but NOT outrage IMO.

Selecting and targetting military targets(whether "collateral" damage is taken into account or not) is what has become known as "civilized" warfare. Women, children and non-combatants die, but when they are NOT the primary target the attackers are taken MORE seriously.
