Methods that catch the bots after registering, rather than relying on the registration form as your sole defense.

When such an individual is confronted with the prospect of death.. all that doubt, self-loathing and regret must really be a lot to suddenly bear when they "know" they're about to face the final judge.

Actually, the Sims is now the best selling PC game of all time, and that's definitely because of gameplay. There were much better looking games that came out at the same time.

In any case, I disagree that the attraction to Myst was the beautiful landscape. Everyone I know that fell in love with the game say it was the immersion. Think about it: this was the first game for most people where they walk around and have this great story and feel like they're really a part of this strange world.

Ok, I agree that our lives have become much easier, and we have more spare time than in ages past. However, I have a difficult time believing that there was ever a period in human history when there weren't special days spent doing something besides struggling mightily to ward off death.

And boy am I way off-topic at this point. Personally, I'm not taking a sick-day to go see Star Wars, I'm not that interested in the film despite all the current hype it's receiving. I do however think that these types of events should be encouraged. To some people this is (sadly) one of the most important events in their lives.

Aren't all laws based in morals? I mean, I'm no student of the Law, but at some point, Society determines which behaviors are acceptable and which are not. A lot of people talk about how we should get rid of all these "religiously-motivated laws," but I think that all our laws were founded in religion at some point. The Constitution doesn't say anything about not having religious laws, it just says "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;" meaning that there should be no state-sponsored religion like the Anglican Church many people fled to America to avoid.
