    As far as performance goes, I'd have to agree with you. But todays little box shaped rockets are sorely deficient in style. They try to compensate with fancy paint jobs and wings but there's nothing quite like the beauty of a late 60's early 70's lead-sled.

    For a percentage of the users being able to use the web browser for half an hour is all they want and need. Not being able to run spyware/malware for that half hour might make this "Desired functionality" mode.

    If the data were tagged with an expiration date and were actually purged upon expiration then I think it would be a helpful tool that doesn't infringe upon privacy. If a crime is reported in the immediate vicinity then an extension on the expiration date for that local should be permissible.
    This would be a nice compromise between the all-or-nothing options that are usually argued about.

    I would think that a 30 day expiration would be reasonable.

    I like the way Netflix is doing this. Rolling it out as an additional, no extra fee, feature of their service shows that they are ready to start the next generation of film viewing, and that they realize that this service is not presently ready to fully replace their current model.

    I think wolf paved the way, but it was Doom that made the genre. I don't think I've ever been involved in a multiplayer wolfenstein game. The multiplayer and 3rd party mods made the genre.
