    The downside? Oh no, I'll have to watch commercials again. What ever will I do?

    Take a bong hit. Get a beer. Go piss. Chat with whoever about the last scene. Just like when we watched TV on TV.

    TV shows are designed around the commercial breaks. Having a few minutes to chill before the next scene isn't really A Bad Thing.

    I wish there was less hiprocacy on slashdot. Maybe you don't pirate music. But many internet users do. Many. And that does fuel the sale of mp3 players. And the iTMS does lend some legitimacy.

    Of the hundreds of thousands of /. members, what percentage have never ever, even once, downloaded a song, movie, or application they never had any right to?

    I know I'm guilty. It's way easy, my 8 year old can do it.

    Either that, or they run a pirate copy on a shitty box, find that it's as buggy as windows on the unsupported hardware (but prettier), and decide that it must be the same on Apple hardware.

    It leaves a bad taste in their mouth, hence No Sale.

    Yeah, I live in Esco, and it is a shithole too. That's why I spend the nights out in Carlsbad (Coyote, usually).

    They made this issue public, so our banks can be notified, so we (the consumers) can know.

    Obviously they've noticed that the public isn't so thrilled when we find out about a breach that happened years before we were told.

    Visa wasn't going to tell us anytime soon. God knows how long the investigation would take until they released the info to us.

    Sure, everyone prints. But to a remote printer, in your home? I guess the digital audio out /and/ the printer port together seemed confusing. I surely won't have a printer sitting next to my stereo, but I'm likely to have a TV there.

    I fully understand the advertised functionality, it just seems like a better use (since the thing has digital audio out) to dump video out that port.

    Sorta, like, they planned it from the beginning like that, but since the movie store wasn't set up yet, just call it a printer port...

    I never saw the real use of the USB 'printer port' on the device. A USB video breakout box would seem to be the real deal.
