Well in the case of something non-trivial, like the military, the reason why it's a Bad Thing is because then you end up with some rich incompetent running something that they have no business running.
The 'L' shaped building is Compass House - office space and headquarters. The larger building just to the left was the manufacturing and packing facility. The building to the north is warehouse and distribution (look for all trucks!), you can see the original part on top, then several years ago they doubled the size with an addition on the bottom. Lego built the road from the manufacturing building to the warehouse, so they had a shorter route for the trucks hauling the finished and packaged sets to the warehouse...
Several years ago I visited their factory in Connecticut. It was a very interesting few hours, and I got to see just about every aspect of how the bricks are made.
I even managed to hold a few of them in my bare hands while they were still warm out of the molding machine!
I would, if I were a gambling man, bet that there is at least one exec in the MPAA/right now/ shouting at the screen in his little office, "Damn it they stole my idea! They're hacking my computer!"
Hacking his computer would be extremely difficult, as it's probably either an Etch-a-Sketch, or one of those cardboard ones they use as displays at furniture stores...
Washington DC has vastly increased in size in the past six years, and it's all been lobbyists, shills and political hacks. Lot's of people profiting at the tax payers expense.
Thank God that one of the major 'planks' of the Republican's platform the last election was "Less big government".
Who knows what might have happened if they didn't promise that...

Because Microsoft has dictated what the price will be. You raise your price higher than that, you can kiss any future shipments bye-bye.
Same thing with minimum pricing. Ask why everyone sells iPods for the same price - because Apple says "you undercut our recommended pricing, you never see another iPod."
It's a game the retailers all play, or they don't get the hot products to sell.
d) Deny that the boat is leaking, and try to kill whales even faster, with the assumption that someone will come along with a bigger boat to take them to shore.
I would *think* that the signup is by your login, since you can play on multiple machines (that would probably have different cd keys installed on them.)
I'm a big fan of Zome construction kits. http://www.zometool.com/
Fox News?
*cough* George Bush */cough*
Of course - we could find out they're actually running SCO software.
The final product is only as good as the original source material.

Cut & run...
Why are our video slots and video poker machines more secure than our electronic voting machines?

In many areas the West has tried to do exactly that - but thne they are pilloried for meddling where they aren't wanted.
That's because the West's methods usually involve bombs...
And I'm cynical enough to believe it's probably at least part of the reason the tapes were released.
Extra-terrestrials are intelligent.

Have fun trying to find something NOT 'Made in China' at your local Target or Wal-Mart...
Can someone please explain how buying stuff 'Made in China' doesn't hurt the U.S. economy in the long run?
Best Buy is fine as long as you really remember this: You would be better off NOT shopping there.
They should be called 'athleteships', not 'scholorships'...
No, but it does make me wonder, since that would make her so obviously out-of-place in the Bush administration...
If Iraq had electronic voting machines, it wouldn't surprise me to see Saddam re-elected!
If paper ballots are good enough for W's shiney new democracy in Iraq, why aren't paper ballots good enough for the USA?
Considering I play on a PvE server, why are there items/recipes that can ONLY be aquired through PvP?
If I wanted to play PvP, I would have chosen a PvP server...
We'll be able to see some more relics from the ancient past, while the human race quite possibly *dies*.
Beautiful! Great trade-off!
I think it's more like:
d) Deny that the boat is leaking, and try to kill whales even faster, with the assumption that someone will come along with a bigger boat to take them to shore.
Slight edit from me:
We can debate whether Fosset deserves praise, but I think it's pretty clear that it's another huge accomplishment for Burt Rutan.

Tomorrow is going to be a fun day. *grin*
