It seems I repeat this info in every idle story that hits the front page, but here it is again.
You can use something like yahoo pipes to filter out all the idle stories from the feed. Or if you can't be bothered doing that, then simply subscribe to the following feed. http://m1.pipes.vip.sp1.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.info?_id=527129296c75002203989957b76e87d9
You can keep idle off the mainpage, but as long as idle feature articles contaminate the main RSS feed, people will be unwillingly reminded of its existence.
I like to press one button and check *all* discussion groups I participate in for new messages - sounds quite superior to checking a gazillion web pages.
I know that GTA3 was cut and rerated, as was SOF Payback. I don't know about Punisher or Postal though. It wouldn't surprise me if bits were cut so they could be rated MA.
The first thing I thought when I read this was: they just refused classification, right? That's not the same thing as banning. While mainstream shops won't sell it, surely it's still legally possible to buy it in some other way?
I've heard that we're allowed to privately import it, but I haven't seen it anywhere official, so I'd love to know exactly what the law says we can and can't do here.
Can I walk into a store and buy it?
If I can't do that, then I can import it. However, for 95% of the population, if they can't buy it at the store, then for all intents and purposes it's banned.
I'm just waiting for Michael Atkinson to get hit by a clue-by-four, or for SA to get themselves a useful attorney general. I may be waiting for a while...
I think that video.google.com allows longer uploads than YouTube, but you'd have to check to make sure.
"ZZ" is even faster, and can be done easily with one hand.
So use yahoo pipes to filter it out. Or just subscribe to one of the pipes that has done so already. http://m1.pipes.vip.sp1.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.info?_id=527129296c75002203989957b76e87d9 for example.
Couldn't you just use Pictochat, with nobody else connected, instead of a custom cart?
Once again. You can use yahoo pipes to remove idle.slashdot stories from the rss feed. http://m1.pipes.vip.sp1.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.info?_id=527129296c75002203989957b76e87d9 I'm sure if I keep saying this, then one day the message will get through.
I bought Neverwinter Nights recently. Do you have any suggestions about where to look for good mods? Thanks!
*Repeat mode on* Use yahoo pipes. It can filter the slashdot rss feed for you and remove all the idle stories, so you don't have to come here and complain then. http://m1.pipes.vip.sp1.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.info?_id=527129296c75002203989957b76e87d9

Realm vs Realm. I think it's meant to be PvP on a much larger scale.

If that doesn't work you can use yahoo pipes to remove idle.slashdot stories from the rss feed. I'm pretty sure somebody has done this already. *looks* A-ha! Here it is http://m1.pipes.vip.sp1.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.info?_id=527129296c75002203989957b76e87d9
You mean this or this?
I use Opera, but I turn off images. Does that count?
Isn't this what RSS is for?
Just curious, would you consider Sin City a slavish transcription or a translation?
Thanks for that. Somehow, I think that the AG's dept isn't likely to be giving permission for people to import Fallout 3 any time soon.

Oh... don't get me started on local/import prices. It just drives me nuts...
