You forgot to add the Desktop will have the power of the Supercomputer today. Desktops are not getting slower, their will always be a difference in speed.
I think the paperback market will be all E-books in a few years, but there will still be Hardback and large format books around (coffee table books), I don't see them dying.
Until I have infinite bandwidth, I prefer my Movies on disk, I still buy quite a few DVDs instead of Blu-ray, mainly they look almost as good on my 25 inch (widescreen) TV.
The next generation of Console games will still use disk for the big games, since most people don't have infinite bandwidth. I can see more and more PC games going to download only, but not console games/
Diablo 3 sold 3.5 million copies in the first 24 hours, with 4.6 million total copies, Blizzard gave away a lot of units to Wow players. So unless Diablo 3 sales have been ZERO since launch, I think they are over 5 million by now. Your right about Angry Birds, mainly do to price difference between the two games.
It all comes down to how you use your PC, I can see a lot of uses for smartphones/tablets but they will never replace the PC for a lot of tasks.
My NVIDIA 8800GT card, I get the only resolution of 320x200 and the other computer that has an ATI (not sure which one) has problems also, mainly graphics screw ups, not sure if it Linux or the card. Both cards under Windows seem to work better but the ATI does sometime flake out under Windows but not Linux, about once a month or so. Both systems duel boot the OSs.
Don't forget the 'Paperless Office', they have predicting ever since the invention of the computer. Last I look, most offices produce more paper not than they did 10 years ago.
So programming something isn't an experience? Everything anyone does gains knowledge though experiences. At least for me, knowledge and experience are the opposite sides of the same coin.
The economy under Clinton was the best, since there was nearly 8 years of growth. I didn't like getting trickled down on from Reagonomics, I know a lot of others that didn't like it either.
Windows 2000 would play DVDs but it had to be hardware decoded, it wouldn't work with only software, you had to have a decoder card. The program was called DVDPlay.exe and Microsoft had it in Windows directory but no shortcut to it in the Start Menu. It was removed after one of the of the Service packs, so I believe XP had something similar before the they removed it also, and installed Media Player which did play DVDs.
Microsoft has a copyright on Commodore Basic, Commodore was big enough to get away without a copyright notice on computer before the 128 which had to have one.
Reagan also knew the Russian were never going to attack the USA and it allies, because US had the telephones for the military bugged, so the US knew they were just as afraid as the Russians really were.
"Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God?"
You could play 4 player on the Commodore 64 version too. 2 with joystick and 2 on the keyboard during the auctions, but you could use the either joystick to pick the land when it was your turn. What I liked was you could cheat with someone against the other players. Collusion was great!
My Commodore 64 would agree with your Amiga, my C64 and almost all of my 5 1/4 inch disks are still readable and the hardware still works. I used it over 10 years straight and then off and on since then. The hardware still runs great, I even has video game console for the 70s that still work. Modern electronic seem to stink in some ways, maybe just to small to last....
20/100 or better vision but they have to be correctable to 20/20 that is to be a Commander or Pilot and it easier for a Mission Specialist, you need 20/200 or better but again it as to be correctable to 20/20 get into the as a Astronaut program. Here are the requirements from 2004... http://www.nasa.gov/audience/forstudents/postsecondary/features/F_Astronaut_Requirements.html I couldn't find anything more recent. Also to get your Astronaut wings, you need to go up 80km (50mi) in the US, if you want Federation Aeronautique Internationale (FAI) to recognize it, you need to go up 100km (62mi).
The only really difference is 6 more X-15 pilots get their wings under the US rules.

Not everyone is a racist, I could care less where you are from or what color you are, but you act like a jack-ass, then I will make a judgement.

Tech company that had no ethics and would follow a pattern of Steal , Sue and Buyout.
Sounds just like Apple but they don't Buy you out, they try to put completion out of Business.
A good programmer, the languages are the tools.
Some animals are tasty and some are not, the non-tasty animals we tend to think of as Pets.
Atheists know more about the Bible too, so yes they are more fit to vote. Knowledge is power after all.
You plan on being around in 4 Billion years? I doubt even Humans will be around in 4 billion years.

My question what happens when their are no more lesser developed countries?
I guess it would help if I had one, still waiting on mine...

All MBA graduates are unproductive not matter what University they went too. MBA are leeches more than anything without productive skills.

I guess using a wireless XBox360 controller on my desktop really sucks, must on your Xbox, right?
