My friend actually called Microsoft this week because he couldn't install the Home Version of XP to a second PC (the CD/Lic# came with a new PC he bought and he wanted to replace his crappy WinME OS with this) after registering the first one. He was completely flustered about the whole registration key required thing. How much I would have paid to hear that call

Before part 2 was part three actually... but not the chronological part 3 only the produced part 3 and before that the produced part 2. The writer was referring to the fact that there are already 4 of these shorts out. Episode 1 gets continued in Episode 2... which wasn't released untill after two other Matrix shorts were made, that have little to do with the first or fourth (they even have different animation directors/artists). Whew!
Has anyone heard of the tech. they are adopting in some European countries that have sensors in them that WILL NOT allow you to turn on the car if there are traces of alcohol in the air inside the car?
Lissin up! There are more than a few US states that have done just what our LEGAL System is going to do if our government doesn't: Decriminalize Pot or Legalize entirely. The whole reason our Prime Minister is using his powers to change the law is so that some left wing judge doesn't go puff on his hookah before swinging the gavel in favor of any of the dozens of Supreme Court of Canada Pot cases which will swing the law sooner or later in favor of actual justice; Do any of you know why weed is illegal to begin with? Do you think there was medical evidence that proved weed was dangerous in the wee hours of the superstitious era when it was prohibbited?

I run a completely Windows environment. To protect it was easy with a Linux Firewall distribution that could run on a crappy PI 166 called IPcop:

It was no problem for me (who had never touched linux before) to install and configure this. Comes with a pretty web interface so if you have even less linux skills than me, you can rempotely manage/configure it from your Windows PC.
Disclaimer: I did end up doing alot of reading through the excellent IPcop forums (just try to avoid getting involved in the ever present smoothwall vs. IPCop arguments) to get the updates installed and some neeto add-ons. But that was way back in version 1.22. Now it should be even easier and more user er... admin friendly with the release of 1.30.

Let's face it. All of 'em are out for dosh. When the realize a way to get it without lawsuits and bickering I'll jump behind one. But so far there doesn't seem to be even one without it's hand in the till or other such buggery. I'll stick with XP (it's free after all;... well it came with my PC).

Who said he was Canadian? Canadians aren't the only people who speak out against American Imperialism. Actually aside from the 40 or so "countries" in the "coalition of the willing[paid off]" the entire world has spoken against the States latest foray into it's own brand foreign affairs (dropping cluster bombs on cities "hiding" "weapons of mass destruction", but all they've come up with is a buch of 70's AK47 weilding scared as hell grunts just doing what they are told, like the American soldiers).
If you ever allow any of your creator owned works to get spun-off into movies, please don't let ANYONE rename/rebrand/whore-out it into "catchy" acronym laden tripe: like what is going on with Alan Moore's magnum opus, the League of Extrordinary Gentlemen = LXG 2003 (wtf?).
I would hate to see Transmetropolitan called Trans Freedom New York.
What was wrong with what the above poster said? He is stating only that nutters like his gran and gramps are annyoying old codgers with a bunch of uninformed-nutter-codger friends in their rightist retirement bunker, where they promptly send donations to law abiding institutions like the KKK via Newt Gengrich... and make damned fine cookies.
