"And your technical knowledge has nothing to do with your language skills."
I think knowledge of language could be considered technical knowledge of sorts. There's really no excuse for confusing your/you're; their/there; threw/through; etc. ad nauseum. People who do are really shooting themselves in the foot when they're trying to appear informed and convey it. If they never have these mistakes pointed out - and since they're too lazy to look up the words - others who point them out are providing a great service, provided the person listens.
Interesting...there just was a documentary about a woman who took colloidal silver and it "embedded" in her skin and gave her an ashen grey skin color over her entire body.
Al Shugart
Al Shugart cofounded Seagate Technology, the world's largest independent hard-drive manufacturer. He has more than 45 years of experience in the technology industry and is now chairman, president, and CEO of Al Shugart International, a venture capital and public relations firm.
"I see the development of new cures or preventive measures for diseases. One such idea is colloidal silver, which works but isn't patentable for human consumption because it isn't FDA-approved. Colloidal silver is a solution of submicroscopic particles of pure silver suspended in water by an electric charge on each particle. It can be taken orally or applied to the skin. When it comes in contact with single-celled pathogens, such as viruses or parasites or bacteria, it disables the pathogens' metabolic enzymes, causing the pathogen to suffocate and die. Perhaps someday colloidal silver will be widely accepted along with other nontraditional methods of treatment once considered quackery, such as acupuncture."
"I'm afraid it might get significantly harder for humble college students such as myself to sample an artist's music before going out and buying a disc"
Good Lord, ANOTHER article about PHP+MySQL. More authors trying to capitalize on the uninformed newbie market.
LAPP (Linux Apache PostgreSQL PHP) NOT LAMP!
Yep, it's hilarious to see people act like they're 1337 h@x0rs and all that, yet they don't know the difference between your/you're, there/they're/their, etc. etc. etc.
I mean, if they don't have a grasp of the basics of the primary language in the US, how good can they be with the programming languages they profess about?

You really are an open-source socialist zealot aren't you? Anything that's not free and/or open is bad, right?
There's nothing wrong with mining the moon. It'll take FAR less time filling out environmental impact statements since there's no life! Though the enviros will talk about viewsheds and so on.
Gee, another tech-support loser who's full of themselves. I know all about PERL, unlike you surely do. You were probably the imbecile who recommended using PEARL.
"us tech support types"
What a joke - you are the lowest form of life in any company. And certainly could never get laid...

Geez, another geek with atrocious spelling. How can I take ANYBODY'S technical advice seriously when they're tripping all over basic words?
"...spread threw Bit Torrent..."
"...while download's are blazing fast..."
"...use ALL you're bandwidth..."
knows nothing...

ANOTHER MySQL in 24 hours book. Zzz.
I guess it's:
1. Learn MySQL.
2. Write book about MySQL.
3. Target book to newbies (i.e. use "in 24 hours", etc.).
4. Profit.
I'm so tired of the MySQL bandwagon...
"Spending more time cursing your code than writing it?"
Actually, most of my time is spent cursing about users.

hahahaha, April Fools was two days ago.

I heard he's combining King Kong with the final Lord of the Rings.
It's a stupid idea.
Reminds me of the crushing traffic of 9/11/01.
Why is the world wouldn't they use Maya instead of 3DS Max?

Good programmers are ethical and do what they are told.
So, what if you're told to code a backdoor?
Medical interns hours may actually DROP to 100 hours per week. There are many people who work 70+ hours a week.

You've spent YEARS working a help desk? That's proof you must be retarded.
> Heh, we are the "lowest form of life" yet you fucking morons call us for help. What does that make you?
No, I gave up a looong time ago - MUCH faster and VASTLY MORE accurate just to RTFM.

I usually get a good laugh from the people "PROVIDING" support:
"You need to install PEARL for that to work."
and much more useless "help" I've been fed by support-monkeys.
Geez, this story was written Feb. 3 and was posted on /. Feb. 19??

It's THE MATRIX which accurately portrays programmers!
Stay in orbit and await a rescue ship.
