Dude, I would mod you higher than a crackhead mofo if I could. But apparently I pissed of some sack once upon a time and he took it upon himself to go back through all my old comments and mod them down as well. So according to my karma, I'm coming back as a dung beetle.
Why is it that every time I see someone's post with the word "dude" in it, they spell it "dood"? Didn't those damn "Dude you're getting a Dell" commercials burn that word and it's spelling into your brains like a cattle brand?
Now that you mention it, have you noticed that SCO stock is way up today? I guess some people are licking their chops at the idea of revoking a license from IBM at midnight.
Isn't it stereotypical to acuse someone who stereotypes as being stereotypical when they... wait, I'm think I'm trapped in an infinite loop now. Nevermind.
Well, speaking from Alabama, I went to see Bruce Almighty on the opening weekend in which all shows for the night sold out. I liked it, everyone with me liked it, as far as I could tell everyone in the theater liked it (I didn't hear any boos or negative comments). I think people need to get over the Hollywood vision of the South. But I guess if everyone knew what it was really like, they'd be disappointed because they'd have one less thing to bitch about or make fun of.
Looks like I spoke too soon (or too early in the morning). I have had this problem in the past, it has seriously been a thorn in my side at many times before, especially reading slashdot, following a thread and being thrown back to the top of the page when using the back button. That said, I just checked this and several other sites and on about half of them (including slashdot now) the back button works as it should. On the others it does take me back to the top of the previous page (madpenguin included). So it must be something in the page code. I apologize for insulting the good name of Mozilla. Apparently a very large percentage of the sites I normally browse have this problem.
Are you using Mozilla? Mine goes back to the top when I use the back button every frickin time, every frickin page. Very annoying. I'm using Moz 1.5a nightly build on Windows 2000, but it's always behaved that way on all versions I've used since 0.xx.
I didn't even have an XT to use. I did everything on paper. I even wrote programs on paper and then would type them in when I could get time in the lab which was all mainframe/dumb terminals.
Just last week I checked uptime on one of my Exchange servers and it was like 10-12 weeks (don't remember exactly) and I was telling some coworkers how that was a new record. I swear the next morning I walked in and the store had crashed. Doh!
In a somewhat related item, I've noticed that the vpn connection included in 10.2 is very unreliable. You can connect ok, but there are problems with name resolution and routing that appear intermitently. I'm also beginning to wonder if there is a problem with thier TCP/IP implementation.

Make that Friday, Dec 5, it's getting closer...
SPEC scores.. Xeon? (Score:3, Insightful)

Who the hell is Mordock?
Now I feel like I'm going to hurl (into Orbit?)
Makes me think of: "Look at me! I'm crazy spoon-head man! Give me some candy!"
Ha, thank you sir, my once white undies are now this pale shade of yellow.

Well, I've got 20/400 vision, I'd be lucky to see them standing right next to them.

My definitiion of "Insightful" must be way off.

So are your archenemies the Foo Fighters?
Sounds like an inventory form for the BSA.

with sybase it's a wing and a prayer not just on hotfixes, but on major updates (like service packs).
That would actually be a great way to kill two birds with one stone...hypothetically speaking of course :)
That, I would like. I could put up with the extra weight for not having to be overly gentle with it.
