I feel the same way. The scripting language sucked, support for other media too. Even the D20 engine was broken (trap detection, pick locking, etc). The campaign story felt too much like "go fetch" (compared to, lets say, KOtoR, that was more smooth). Oh, and the TONS of bugs that it shipped with that made DM almost unplayable. I was very dissapointed, I was hoping more from the guys that created Baldur's Gate.
We look into the future and fully expect that we're going to have some sort of a win against IBM in the courtroom. [...]
We think that there's a very bright future in the company to return to the model that we had in the past with Unix Systems Laboratories.
The CG fighting game that promised to be revolutionary. It was SO boring. Even the animation was glitchy, the collision detection horrible, and moves had a really weird timing, and things like just jumping would respond.
What a piece of crap!
I don't quite see the obession with finding life on Mars.Because by finding life somewhere else we can learn a lot about life on earth.
What is life? Really? You will find many people with slightly different definitions just on life on Earth.
What about other planets? What if life in mars, the DNA strand twists the other way? Or what if there is no DNA. If the DNA is the same, then, maybe life in Mars and Earth have a common origin. If not, what common things do we see? What is the minimum requirement for life? And these are just a few questions I can speculate on. I think we can lear about ourselves, and the fundamentals of life on Earth by finding life somewhere else.
And that is all without any religious (or anti-religious) agenda.
It is getting more and more difficult for 419spammers to make money. Why? Because of the many people that are responding to them just to make fun of them (as reported many times before in/.). I've done it, and collected some funny pictures too, and then moved on. Some of my friends are still in the hobby of making fun of them, and they tell me it is getting increasingly harder to get any pictures from them.
It seems to me that the traffic of people making fun of them (baiters) is very high compared to the dumb people falling for the scam.
In fact, I've been following my friend's baits, and the scammers seem desperate, unwilling to cooperate if you ask for a picture of them or any other information. Contrast this with many months ago where they would take any pictures that you asked them.
Since most of the baiters play along with the scammers story to ridiculize them, the scammers are getting desperate and started to use this new scheme. It is hard to play along with a death threat, compared to, a petition of money for a church in nigeria.
It is not about programming the rules, Asimov's short stories are about studying the consequences of these ethical rules. Ethical rules are commonly studied based con case studies, real of fictional. If you think the idea is about implementing the rules, you are totally missing the point.
am considering buying a PSOne for the PS1 games I own that won't play on the PS2
I'm a bit curious, so far I haven't seen any PS1 games that don't work on the PS2. I am curious to know which games heve given you problems so far (I'm not arguing, I'm just wondering).
Yes, but someone can spoof your email, send spam, and someone can still accuse you of doing it. Since hotmail is not investigating accusations, someone malicious can get your account canceled easy.
What about email spoofing? Everyone knows it is very easy to do. Microsoft would cancel an account that was spoofed by a spammer without asking any questions?
The psycological issues of living in confined quarters in space are similar to those in prison or a submarine. Living in a very small space, with the same people for prolonged periods of time is not very nice, and it is what is considered as "removing the freedom" of a convict.
So, they ask for your name, you refuse to tell them. They arrest you. If they arrest you, you have the right to remain silent, so you don't have to tell them your name.
To have the right not to tell them your name you have to get arrested?
Am I the only one that things this is hilariosly messed up logic?
I take Mars! Bwahahaah. Those rovers are now MINE.
Milking the cash cow.

Uhm. Yeah Darl. Whatever you dream in Utahland.

Wow. This post verges on the Offtopic and Troll, but not quite there. And it is actually quite interesting.
5. ???
6. Profit!
I remember reading and interview to Lucas, before EpiII, where he said how he wanted the movies to "rhyme", just like you describe it.
Houston, we have a problem. We have been slashdotted.
Wow, that wasn't offtopic!

I think you meant Feynman
I haven't heard about that one. Who is publishing it? Does anyone have any screenshots?
It will be based in this movie

"telnet? telnet? telnet"" Dad? ssh!"
Step 2: Get the customers hooked.
Step 3: Milk the customers.
I think I have a better biz strategy:
Step 2: ?
Step 3: Profit!
