And how the hell are you supposed to do anything with that website? You have to have friends on it cause you can only see stuff made by friends, but isn't the point of it to MEET friends?
I agree with you completely. Not long ago, I noticed that an article had dissapeared and was reposted later. Simoniker was kind enough to reply, and explain that it had accidently been live for a few minutes in the morning, and then was pulled and posted later in te day.
If I got the broadband adapter, is there a way to download files and run them? Like running ROMs under a NES emulator in Linux? Or is it better just to burn a CD?
A network adapter lets you connect it to your network, right? Is that the correct name for it? What can you do once you're on the internet? And is there a way to connect to a wireless network?
How do you connect a keyboard and mouse to one? Is there some sort of adapter, or it is a special keyboard for the DC?
If a user complains in the first place, you have a problem with them getting a newsletter that they didn't want.
It's not the ISPs fault, I'd much rather see them drop all possible offenders than spend a long time investigating each one, and as a consequence having a long delay between the time someone is reported and the time their internet account is dropped.
All you need to do is make it easy for the people receiving the newsletters to opt out, make sure they know someone requested it and it's not spam, and require some sort of verification to make sure anyone can't sign them up.
What would be REALLY nice would be forcing them to confirm every few months that they still want to receive the newsletter. That way you're not sending it to people that don't want it, and if they no longer care about it, they don't have to do a thing to stop receiving it - they just have to wait.
There are some places like that, at least around here. Free RoadRunner cable, all you need is a WiFi card. And they're intentionally giving you free internet too - it's not just some luser with an insecure network.
Did you manage to not hear about the recent forest fires in California? Those would have all been prevented if the proper people were allowed to remove dead trees. Sure, there's something seriously wrong with a bill that says "If you take a chainsaw to a tree, it's "in danger of dying" and can therefore be removed, but quite frankly, I don't believe that the bill was intended to mean that.
I would LOVE to have one for my Linux computer, that would be the perfect way to control access to it. Does anyone know if there are any that are compatible with Linux and are available for consumers?
As you said, since it's popular, alot of people played it. Let's just estimate that 10,000 people played it (that's not the correct number, just a conservative estimate). So out of those 10,000, TWO people showed violent behavior? That means 0.0002% of the people that played it showed violent behavior.
Don't you that there would have been far more Columbine's, if playing Doom really did result in that kind of behavior?
It's FAR more likely that it's just a coincidence that they played Doom. Either that, or they had an abnormal mental condition which resulted in them being more effected by Doom than the average gamer is.
Apart from being Linux (which makes it instantly superior, of course;)) what are the advantages of using OpenZaurus over whatever Zaurus ships with? If Zaurus ships with Windows CE, well, then I guess OpenZaurus would be better if for nothing else than security.
I'm thinking about buying a PDA, and buying a Zaurus is a possibility. So what are the advantages of using OpenZaurus?
Hell.
That's where all the windows luser will be.
I have yet to RTFA, but how could I implement this into my SMTP server (Postfix)?
It's not a troll. Simple.

Ohh, good!
Now I don't feel so strange, that was really weird _knowing_ I had seen it earlier, but it not being there.
Yes it was! I swear! I even went to the website it linked to, and they didn't have much information
1. I travelled to the future earlier this morning, and read this article.
2. This exact article was posted earlier this morning.
3. This exact article was postead earlier this morning and it was removed, since I can't seem to find the earlier copy.
This is soooo offtopic, but no, they're not illegal.
They're not selling Linux, they're selling Linux CDs for about the price of the CDs.
Oh, I almost forgot.

Thanks for your help!

I'm mainly going to get a Dreamcast to emulate games from older consoles I have, would I have any good reason to get the broadband adapter?
Also, what Linux ports are there?
I've seen the one at http://www.m17n.org/linux-sh/dreamcast/index.en.h
Are there any others?
Thanks again!
I just have a few questions before I buy one.

If anyone could answer those it would be great!
What are the addresses of these guys again? >:D

No wonder you can't contact it.. you're using Windows to try.
Exactly!
Not to mention the homosexual elephants that would be attracted...
There are homosexual elephants, right? There must be.
Umm... maybe I'm looking in the wrong place, but doesn't it say "Modern Computing"?
Did the editors *gasp* correct it?
There are some places like that, at least around here.

They light to to songs playing on a radio station? Do they light to the commercials too?

Not, not just anyone can get an advanced screening. New Line gave EA a screening copy because they have the rights to the LotR video games.
This seems to be a good idea, and while I would love to do it, I'm already running a mail server.
Is there any way that those of us that already have a MTA running on port 25 can run this too?
I would LOVE to have one for my Linux computer, that would be the perfect way to control access to it.

And there's another flaw in this statement.

Either that, or they had an abnormal mental condition which resulted in them being more effected by Doom than the average gamer is.
Either way, it's the kids fault, not Doom's.
Watch me get modded down for saying this, but I'll risk my karma for the point.
Why is this moderated as insightful?
AC was being sarcastic. Either that, or he doesn't know what he's talking about.
Do you think there was no rape or prostitution a few hundred years ago, before porn? Of course there was.
Do you think there were no violent kids a few hundred years ago, before video games? Of course there were.
It's the PARENTS fault that the kids are violent, they just want to blame the video game industry for THEIR inability to raise their children.
