What if I'm playing EQ, and I find a spot in a zone where mobs can't get to. Then I kill things from there. I'm exploiting a bug to become more powerful. Is that the same?
I remember an old article in PCGamer mag that talked about one such incident in which an entire guild did that. Verant broke the guild up and deleted the leaders accounts, most of which had months of played time on them.
If it was the bug it will be interesting to see how UBI deals with it, as it is likely the first big public relations challenge in SB. Hopefully they may respond favorably, but its so easy to go down the dark side of Veranthood.

UPDATE: Downloads Section has been de-activated. . . . the/. story along with the bogus BBC story have left me with no choice at the moment. . . . i plan to bring them back, but right now all the money that goes to this site comes from my pocket, and to be honest, the pocket is getting a bit low with the bandwith these stories produce. Some people have asked how they can donate to the site. This is someting that i cannot allow, i believe that sites like this should be free, so i will not accept any money. . . . thanks anyway. As far as the downloads go, we are going to wait this one out. . . when the scene cools off a bit, we will be back. . . . Thanks again. . . . We will keep you up-to-date as things progress. .
Anyone do the math here? 4million divided by 400 is 10,000. So they only payed there employees below McDonalds payment level? Or was it to give their CEOs a nice bonus for the "cost-cutting" idea?
When the ants die, and they WILL die, you get a nice little smell in your room or office that will make anyone within a 20 foot radius evacuate their midday sustinance. That stuff STINKS.
Hey folks if you didn't remember, the reason people (smart people at least) like Nvidia better is because they make very good drivers, at least compared to ATI. ATI's cards may be faster on paper and demos, but in the real world where its cards would be used, for games and such, Nvidia pulls ahead because the games are better able to harness the power of their cards.
He has a decent set of writers already, he just doesn't use them.
They are called fan authors and they write a great many of excellent books that far surpass the so-called writing of his films. Why is it that filmmakers, and while we're on the subject, game developers, think they can write a better storyline than a proffesional author?!
he'll base the new episodes off the fantastic (and much better written than his scripts) books that spawned after return of the jedi. Heck it'll probably even increase profits from his videogame division by increasing sales of the excellentJedi Knight II game because it would create interest in the post ROTJ world. You guys DON'T think it would be cool to see Thrawn in a movie?
Guess what in the video game industry you don't actually play the god damn games you just code monkey it up for the designers
Well actually you do "play" games but you dont want to. This is video game testing:
DONT go into video game testing unless you LIKE earning a minimal wage to buy you a 9x9 appartment in SoCal (prison cells are 10x10), work 10-12 hour shifts near the game release time, and eventually end up in one of these environments.
And it didn't start up. Took off the case and observed insides, everything looked fine. Started computer up with case off. Worked fine. Put case back on, didn't start up.
Conclusion: Doesn't work because it says SONY on the side.
If you didn't like the movies don't take this post as an invitation for you to bash it. It seems like every time someone mentions some key word like "star wars" in a NEWS article, the same old damn topics always come up. I myself hated Jar Jar, but overall 1 and 2 were good movies! Lucas's "vision" was to create a precurser to the original star wars series, and he performed the task well imho. Lets keep the talk to Wookies and not weather the movie was good.
Has anyone else noticed [now] that ClearChannel owns about everything
I sure have. I'm damn sick of their commercial advertising that the music industry is losing 80 some percent of their business due to downloading. What if stealing music were like stealing anything else? Take all the downloaded music on your hard drive and multiply that by a doller and thats how much money the music industry is losing per person per year
I averaged this out and if everyone has like 30.mp3s on their hard drive, the music industry should be in debt over 3 billion a year. So shut up about the industry losing money.
The reason he said that was in his opinion, piracy helped him sell more records due to his songs getting out there to people who would not normally buy the songs on a cd, but did after they heard how good he was.
He had a good point there and I believe that EMI finally got the truth of his statement into their slow little heads.
Is it just me or is the music industry just a big pity-whore? The industry is still getting profits far surpassing that of almost any other industry out there today. Compare the cost of searching for a good band, developing or funding them, with the output and the difference is astronomical! Somehow this reminds me of the old cartoon Duck Tales in which Schrooge has a vault of money that he swims in but if even one coin is stolen he will stop at nothing to get it back.
If you want more people to go to your movies, stop charging them $8.50 a pop!
Some people would agrue that doing so would decrease revenues, but if piracy is making them lose as much money as they say, lowering the prices would benefit them in the long run. They will have more people going to movies at less cost, and therefore less of an audience for pirates.
You will always have people that won't pay for anything, but they would never go to the movies anyway. The best way to defeat piracy is to eliminate the demand for it, and in this case, it is best to lower the prices.
Sounds a lot like the trick some people did after 9/11. Remember the folded $20 bill? You can "discover" anything you want if you look long and hard enough, and turn a blind eye to everything that contradicts your belief.

It looks strikingly similar to the canadian dollar or the old british pound.

They probably know the difference they just didn't want to say white cracker.
The white hackers are good?! Just another attempt to bring down the black man.
Now we're gonna get flooded with all those corny "joystick" jokes.
When I think computer games... I think Entertainment Weekly!

Thats for the pr0n link! I'm at SCHOOL you INSENSITIVE CLOD!
Anyone ever played Medievia?
Its probably the most played MUD today, and I'm still an avid player. Telnet to it here or download a MUD client.

This is not a troll, as trolls are green.
