  1. Easy fix on Audio Watermark Web Spider Starts Crawling · · Score: 1

All anyone has to do is find the watermark for, say, the movie adaptation for 1984, and add it in early in the movie/CD.

  3. ToS on BitTorrent Legit Service Launches · · Score: 4, Interesting

Somewhat crippling ToS from the site (you must download and watch movies/TV shows before 30 days, can only watch it for 24 hours after first playing); and the kicker: $3.99 for rentals. Imo at least the charge should be half that. There is no distibution cost other than keeping the tracker/site up, and you can only watch it for a day! If I watched even 3 movies a month, it'd cost less to just go through netflix, and I could keep them as long as I wanted.

However, it is still good to see BT somewhat more in the public eye. Maybe it'll catch on and more people will realize that they're being ripped off.

So the question is: would you rather vote for someone who is strong on the second amendment but give you a reason to use it, or someone who is weak against the second amendment but will probably not give you a reason to use it?

Personally I think the seoncd amendment is the most "outdated" part of the constitution, because "arms" deal with technology, and the tech at the time involved mostly muskets and bayonetts (I believe the first rifle was invented some time during the Civil War). I don't think they invisioned a weapon able to mow down scores of people in under 20 seconds with a very low reload time, or a missile able to take out an entire city. The solution? I don't know. But identifying the problem is the first step.

Puritanism pure and simple. Alchohol is bad despite what is written in the bible. Too much of course is bad.

And of course the "solution" offered to underage drinking is to restrict it more, making it even more attractive to kids.

I do find it amazing in countries like Italy or Germany where the drinking age is quite low (I think its still 14 in both countries?), theres much less of a problem with people drinking to excess than there is in America.

Over the past three months the republican incumbant (under investigation by the FBI/DoJ for taking a $30000 vacation given to him by foreign lobbying groups) has been robocalling everyone in the county and some outside the county with calls that are basically designed to make you hang up the second you hear their tagline, "This call is about supporting Charlie Brown" (yes that is the democrat candidate's real name :P). Charlie's campaign doesn't have robocallers, but the actual campaign workers who call were rather surprised to hear from people that they got a robocall three minutes ago claiming it to be from their campaign.

Its rather a shame that the local republican controlled newspaper made no mention of this in their so-called "bad campaigning expose".
