From wikipedia, "While customer reaction to the EV1 was positive, GM viewed the program as evidence that electric cars occupied an unprofitable niche of the automobile market, evidenced by their ability to lease only 800 units in face of production costs of US$1 billion over four years."
Granted they tried to lease and not sell, but only 800 units leased over four years is small no matter how you cut it. And with only a 55-75 mile range, they only appeal to some urban and suburban dwellers.
My buddy brewed some watermelon beer a few months back and it tasted good. I do not know the recipe, but there are some good ones around. He usually gets his recipes from user submitted sites.
The best part about the GPL is that it allows code to be modified and run anywhere, closed platform, obscure platform, new platform, etc. As long as code is properly released, they can sell it without moral implications. If you do not like it, repackage it yourself, eat the costs and make the game better or worse as you see fit. These men did spend time on developing it for a new platform and should be able to be paid for their efforts, assuming the market wants their product.
If I use VLC on a Macintosh or Windows machine, I can play back content without skipping, sync, artifacts, tearing or stuttering as long as it's within reasonable processing limits.
Who told you that? I have an original Macbook with 10.5 and do not use VLC past 0.8.6i. Why? Because I get the skipping, sync, artifacts, tearing and stuttering you talk about in any newer version. Its a known problem.
The effectiveness of these drugs is their combination. Vicodin heightens the effects of Tylenol. The more Vicodin, the less Tylenol you need and the more effective the pain killer is. But what do I know, I am only currently on the stuff post shoulder surgery. I got the information straight from my doctor.
The wikipedia article you point to has Sony benefiting from the reverse-Osbourne effect. When they announced the end of PS2 hardware emulation in the PS3, sales of the 60 GB PS3 with PS2 Hardware soared.
I assume that Apple is only dropping PPC support, but I have seen no evidence to support or deny core duo support. First generation Macbook owners, iMac Core Duo and many Intel Mac Mini owners do not have 64 bit chips. Can anyone provide legitimate links to Snow Leopard support?
Get your masters in this economy from a public university (great value). You can never take away an education and its benefits are endless if you apply them properly. Think about going part time and getting work experience. If you have a higher education and experience only your attitude and quality of work will set you back. I did the MBA route without much work experience, I just plowed through. Without a good amount of experience, I am looked at in different ways. Some think its good, others bad.
I honestly think think you should go to school full time the first year and then work and go part time. You will have experience and credibility when you graduate.
Externalities are huge problem under capitalism, however some people have come up with different ways, usually monetarily, so that externalities are least considered. the triple bottom line for instance. Hopefully, in the future this will not be a problem. I do not think externalities are the same as what I was referring to though. Also, it seems to me that socialism hiding the true costs is an inherent part of the system, unlike capitalism where it has simply been the status quo.
I meant to say it is $11 more a month for those access it. It should read as: No system is perfect, each has its own trade-offs. That being said, one problem of socialism is that it can hide the true costs. The taxpayers had to pay for the lines to be put in place and continue to pay for maintenance, some of which I am sure is covered by the ISP leasing fees. Taxes cover many of the costs and so the true cost is more than $11 a month. It is $11 more each month for those who access it. Personally, I think it is a very important distinction. You may not.

I would venture to guess that at a low enough population, it can become worth while to be connected at high expense, especially when the population is sparse and not dense.

Is the third one down your mother?

It also allows use to expend less energy than is we used all 4 limbs for movement like our our primate friends.
Create your own license and do not use the GPL if you are concerned with more than source code changes being released.

Futurama is a geeky show.

...they found that thawed chickens busted windscreens as effectively as thawed chickens.
Clarification please. Unless of course you meant to say that a=a.

Killed to death? As opposed to killed to mostly dead?

The original developer version of xbox 360 was a custom G5 (as in Apple Product, not just PPC chips) with custom software if I remember correctly.

Do the services that Google sell depend upon Big Table in anyway? If so, then this is an alternative to BigTable.

Right site, wrong link. Try here.
If they are correct, what are the chances they are wrong (or right)?
