I would imagine that cyclists are singled out because:
a) many of them are children so the manufacturers can play the "think of the children" card
b) once laws are passed the manufacturers have a built in customer base that MUST purchase from them
c) to many people cycling is something new and different. Walking is something everyone does - so it's harder to convince them they've been doing it wrong
If they patent this, but never use it, could they use their patent to keep others from inventing and patenting the "microphone add-on?" Wouldn't a broad patent give them a legal way to keep others from making creative and invasive additions?
The problem isn't the dust storm, the problem is the dust coming in on the suits. It's sharp and when breathed in can create serious health problems. It gets all over the place.
My wife still gets 35 MPG in her 2000 SL2 that has over 100k miles on it. So far all she has had to replace is a cracked "resonator pipe" in the exhaust. I have an 06 vue that has had 2 computers die in it. I almost wish I was driving another SL2.
I love how everyone seems to assume that the smaller lighter car will be pushed away into a magical land where there is nothing else to hit them. If you are stopped at a light and the car behind you slams into you and push you into the intersection, which then puts you into position to get t-boned by another car, you are not going to be happy.
(Of course, the best car to sleep (or fsck) in were the old Ramblers, where you folded down the front couch, and it lined up with the rear seat to become a double bed.) Honda Elements are supposed to have seats that fold together like that - and the rear go up and away as well so you could sleep on the floor without rails. You should check them out if you are ever in the mood and can't find an old rambler.
Who decides what the teachers get to teach? The federal government mandates it via funding (no child left behind act) the state government does something similar - and then the teacher is left with the option of teaching what they are told to teach, or getting fired when their kids can't answer the questions on the test that the feds or the state sent down. Don't blame the curriculum on the teachers - they have some say on what goes on, but the lion's share is someone else telling them what to do.
had to post it AC huh? couldn't actually post it with your username? What do you fear sir? That your asstarded comment might be linked to you in some way in the future?
also - the Castlevania cover art was A PICTURE OF THE COVER ART! That's what was ridiculous about it - the first cover was an excuse to put "konami's best" on it - but then the innner graphic wasn't just the cover graphic - it was a direct picture of the non-konami's best cover. It even had the T for teen rating twice.
720p?
It's... Arrested Development!

Where are they going to get the beskar to make these?
Ha ha ha. Beard cards. I didn't think I would ever see that mentioned outside the bubble.

Sheesh - already slashdotted?
Damn - beat me to it.

wouldn't that be the Chelys galactica rather than Geochelone elephantopus?

You could always get a Utah Concealed Carry Permit - they'll even give them to people that live in other countries!
Did you mean HDMI? how about this? $4.79 http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id =102&cp_id=10240&cs_id=1024004&p_id=2412&seq=1&for mat=2&style=

Would you really call that pretty easily? When you consider th level of technology and whatnot - I would imagine it's kind of complicated.
that would be great! I'd love it if the toilet could say that much - then I could talk to it while using the can instead of reading.
try watching 300 in Imax. When the sex scene comes on there's a shot of mostly breast - I never thought I would ever see nipples that large.
or, you know, played Dead Rising on a SD set where the text is illegible.
supposedly Xvid is Advanced Simple Profile - and this update only says "simple profile" - so that doesn't really answer my question.
The linked site does not include the Xvid info - does anyone know if this is true or not?

Nope - component cables are analog. They are high grade analog - but they are still analog.
