Wow - what a horribly biased summary. Was it written as a deliberate troll? It reads like a deliberate troll! Disclosing a security problem does not usually entail creating a virus that uses it. I realize that his virus did not "hurt" anybody - other than, apparently, him - but he did not just disclose the security hole. It sure would be nice if Commander Taco would read this stuff before approving the submission.
Starcraft:Ghost has been "indefinitely postponed." This was announced last year - or are you still hoping that it will still come out of indefinite postponement?
If I couldn't reboot my phone by removing the battery every once in awhile I would be a sad guy. How do you reboot if the screen freezes (or in the case of my current phone - when the soft keys all freeze)??? well - I sure hope they include a hard reboot option button on the iPhone - otherwise there will be some very frustrated users out there.
People wear those things ALL the time in Brazil. They are the national default footwear. The fact that one of the researchers in the video is wearing flip flops (chinelas) in the video while throwing around super heated (and vaporized) silica is just evidence that this is really from Brazil.
many of the advanced imaging systems require that the object be dead or nonliving. Being able to move atoms doesn't mean we can move them outside the controlled field.
Also - the jump between the best optics can do and stuff like electron microscopes leaves a gap in what we can examine - which makes it tough to observe everything. I imagine that if they could slice Adam's brain into thing enough sections eventually they could map the neuronal pathways - but that wouldn't tell us what each one does and Mr. Adam's would also be unable to tell us what each one does - because his brain would be less than useful at that point.
CAT scans and fMRIs are much better than the process used in the past (forcing air up the spine and into the fluid areas of the brain case - then X-raying) but they still don't give us as much info as we can get and use in the realm of computers.
BYU used to do this - they just changed a few years ago. Right before the change went through an advertiser they had sold the list of graduates to printed out address labels that included name, address and SSN. Fortunately they weren't used - but DUH what a terrible idea.
Hasn't this become a household term, just like Nintendo nearly was back in the 80's? It seems to me that the term has become generic for any sort of radioshow like recording downloadable from the internet, regardless of what format it is in. Seems like Apple is too late to keep "podcast" from becoming a generic phrase - rather than an apple specific one.

actually - Tomatoes are fruits by a botanical defnition and vegetables by a legal one. The U.S. Supreme Court declared they were vegetables based on a definition based on the way in which they were used.
I wonder if these military personnel were told not to use flash drives, but were not given any other way to accomplish the requirements of their duties. I.E. "You can't use that to do necessary task 1A" "But I have no other way of doing that task!" "too bad - you figure it out"
Hey don't pick on Utah. Salt Lake City is awesome - and who else will export delightful religiosity without us? Besides, I don't think colbert would like his state known as Colbertah - The Beehive State.

it's never coming to verizon wireless - they only do cdma. They can't "no GSM" fast enough these days. Why would they want to be compatible with the rest of the world? This way they can sell you their expensive world phone service - which includes them mailing or messengering a separate phone to you when you the the US.
could we use this to cure people who are afraid of heights? some how refine the stuff in the parasite that it uses to make the ant "negatively geotropic" and inject it into people?
I can certainly see you side of it - and if California had a way to keep people from moving where there was water to where it isn't, I would be less inclined to voice support in the Californian's favor. However, there is no practical solution to keeping immigrants out. So, all the people that moved into California in the last 30-40 years should have brought along water rights access with them - or never moved there at all. At this point, California has to find a way to either A) force people to leave, or B) provide water for all the immigrants. One way to force people out would be to raise prices on water - but that would just leave thirsty, probably very stinky, poor people in California.
But who are these mysterious californians that are so different from you? california has no way to keep people from moving there - new people move from places with lots of water to California all the time. Over the last 50 years the population demographics and size has changed dramatically. If the municipal governments all got together and stopped all new construction - then house prices would rise even more and force all but the richest of people out - at which point you would still have all those people willing to pay insanely high water bills.
you make it sound like they (i2hub) were a bunch of egotistical bastards. However, the implementations I've seen of encrypted, hubless P2P don't work too quickly or well. It is much easier to have a central server that everyone knows and connects to (the tracker in BT, the hub in i2Hub, etc) which is then used to point out where all the other clients are.
what do you do when the servers are down? sleep? I have every other tuesday off - and I find it HIGHLY frustrating that the servers are down for the whole morning when I could be playing.

what about a monkey pony hybrid? Or would that just make you angry because I wasted a pony and some money's for you?
That's from a Jonathon Coulton song BTW

Data from Voyager: ummm, gee, it sure is cold out here. Does anyone have a blanket? I feel so lonely. Daisy, Daisy.....
yes - but a single uni-boob and a uni-ass that wrapped all the way around would loook kind of weird.

Rock and Roll Racing was awesome! I rented that at least a dozen times. I finally got a copy for my old SNES, and I got the GBA version.

I had ana alarm clock where the snooze started at 9 minutes and got shorter and shorter every time you hit the button. That thing drove me crazy!
4 Dews a day, or just 4 sodas? If it was Dew - I would be quicker to blame the caffeine than the sugar content.
