The american economy is pretty much run on lawsuits transactions rather that business related B2B or B2C transactions. Corporations aside personal lawsuits are on the rise too.
An interesting poll in slashdot could be how many times have you been sued personally. Although techies don't get involved in lawsuits but management officals get pulled in often.
Since 90% of the email is spam, Microsoft can use their usual programming techniques and generate a random number. If it is lesser than 90 then delete the mail else let the mail go through.

As we keep adding more computer onboard the more problems we have. Of course on board computers are very helpful but out of the two cars I have (one loaded with on board computer, the other with minimal computers) the one with minimal computers is doing much more better(stays with me more than staying in the garage) than the one loaded with computers. Most of the time the car loaded with computers has a problem the computer itself (and who's going to flag that problem?).
Finally get to see some quality HDTV programming instead of the same fish and nature clips they play over and over again on OTA local HDTV channels.
When I first got a HDTV I remember watching the 30 minute movie loops for 2-3 hours. I just love the clarity of HD but my family members did not like me.
They could have used them oeny spent on cameras. Last I had seen on discovery channel was a method of coating the chips underneath of the shuttle in flight which was very cool. How about some insulating material (like scotch guard for carpets) or by keeping debris out in the first place (I guess most of the debris falls off from the shuttle and hits itself).
My relatives have a african grey parrot and they are in fact really smart. They even seem to answer your questions (and complete sentences or phrases). Only thing is that they bite real hard so you might want to keep a distance while talking/playing with them.
If you are after gaming, multimedia, good WiFi+Bluetooth support, a lot of accessories and versatility, go with Pocket PC.
Like they always say.. "Windows for gaming, others for productivity"
I believe iris recognition takes some time to verfiy the identity of the person as the person has to stand close to a certain point and then the scanner would scan the eye. So this will take more time than pulling your card out and swipping it and walking through the doors.
Therefore this tech will only be used in high security area and most of them I guess are already using it.

A lot of other cities have public transportation running on propane, etc. Many international cities have seen a lot of cut back in pollution just by switching the public transportation to a more environment friendly energy source.
Some major computer manufacture should break all microsoft laws and start providing linux as a desktop OS alternative and should stick to it while it catches on. Dell did that for a while and fell to microsoft's feet later on. If only they had continued...
Well they should have contacted me.. I would have charged only $50 ;) ..

now what would be interesting is having a news like "No new windows security fixes for today." That would really be a eye popper.
Well back to sleep.
I'll try to keep myself away from the monitors for a couple of months and keep using XP.

So it doesn't matter what chips apple uses since mircosoft will conquor them like all others. :)
